    Kent 50-3 v Lancashire 161

Zak Crawley is continuing to try and play his shots for Kent, even if some come with a bit of risk.

He finds the boundary from George Balderson to bring up the 50 for the hosts but Balderson is still looking dangerous outside the off stump in reply.

    Thomas LBW b Cliff 11 - Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 11-2

Josh Thomas has played a bit more carefully since the dismissal of Tom Lammonby, playing Ben Cliff defensively up the pitch, then into the off side.

But then he tries to whip the fifth ball through mid-wicket and misses in front of the stumps.

    Henry Nicholls is in next.

    Patterson-White c Clark b Hunt 14 (Sussex v Notts 141-7)

    Sean HuntImage source, Getty Images

Sean Hunt gets Liam Patterson-White to try and defend one on the back foot outside off stump and finds the edge of the bat.

It goes with pace to Tom Clark at second slip but he shows a safe pair of hands to gobble up the chance.

It's been an excellent bowling display by Sussex who are into the Notts lower order now.

    Kent 44-3 v Lancashire 161

This match is rattling along at some pace on day one.

Lancashire all out for 161 and now Kent are three down after 11 overs.

    Finely poised indeed.

  6. 50 runs

for Ollie Robinsonpublished at 16:41 BST 15 September

    Durham 370-5 v Worcs

Ollie Robinson pushes a single back past bowler Brett D'Oliveira, who makes a despairing dive to try and stop it, and it carries him to 50 from 55 balls.

He and Mayank Agarwal have so far added 120 for the sixth wicket.

  7. Postpublished at 16:41 BST 15 September

    Leicestershire 56-4 v Hampshire 214

Manny Lumsden is in the attack now, bowling outside off stump to Hamza Shaikh.

Hamza Shaikh lets the ball go - then misses a scoop to leg off a wide, leg side delivery.

It's a no ball. Every run is precious on this pitch, offering some help to the seam bowlers.

    Muyeye lbw b Anderson 18 (Kent 44-3 v Lancashire 161)

Well that's one way to hit back...

After being hit for three fours from the first three balls of the over, a fired up Jimmy Anderson gets his revenge on Tawanda Muyeye from the fourth delivery.

It's full and straight from Anderson and Muyeye is trapped plumb in front. No doubt about that one.

  9. Postpublished at 16:40 BST 15 September

    Kent 44-2 v Lancashire 161

How about this from Tawanda Muyeye?

The Kent batter hits Jimmy Anderson for three fours in a row.

    Thomas b ul-Hassan 6 (Surrey 68-6 v Glamorgan 132)

Adam Thomas stares hard at the pitch as a little bit of movement from Zain ul-Hassan sees it crash into the top of off stump.

The Glamorgan all-rounder now has 4-16.

    Sussex v Notts 140-6

Notts pick up their first runs after tea and they have Jaydev Unadkat to thank for a foot no-ball for the two added to the total.

Brett Hutton then picks up another single for the first runs off the bat since the break.

    Lammonby c Hill b Coad 0 - Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 11-1

Ben Cliff is round the wicket to Josh Thomas - who drives handsomely through to James Wharton at extra cover. Brilliant diving stop and no run.

Tom Lammonby takes guard now to Ben Coad... gone!

Drawn into playing a ball that leaves him outside off and caught by George Hill at first slip.

    Archie Vaughan will bat next.

  13. 350 up for Durhampublished at 16:36 BST 15 September

    Durham 355-5 v Worcs

Mayank Agarwal pushes a single off Brett D'Oliveira and there is a third batting bonus point for Durham - not that they need them.

Ollie Robinson rotates the strike back to the Indian, who lofts the spinner straight back down the ground for four.

    Barnard b Critchley 12 (Essex 134 v Warwickshire 85-5)

Ooh Ed Barnard is bowled, the Bears have lost their captain!

Barnard has tried to sweep Matt Critchley away but misses it completely and the ball spins around him and crashes into the stumps!

An expansive shot when one wasn't needed?

Losing Barnard is a blow and it makes Sam Hain's innings all the more important for his side now.

    Warwickshire trail by 49 runs.

  15. Postpublished at 16:35 BST 15 September

    Kent 30-2 v Lancashire 161

A much-needed decent over for Kent as Zak Crawley puts Tom Bailey away for two fours.

There's a brief pause while the umpires discuss a potential change of ball...

  16. Play resumes at Hovepublished at 16:34 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 137-6

The evening session begins at Hove.

Only time will tell whether this has been as shaky a first innings as it looks for Notts.

One thing we do know is that Sussex have bowled very well.

Can Notts clamber their way to 250 for a batting point?

    Patel b Toole 26 (Surrey 63-5 v Glamorgan 132)

A bit of extra pace on that one from Ray Toole, Ryan Patel is fractionally late with his defensive shot and is bowled.

Surrey have now lost their last four wickets for 22 runs and are not finding batting any easier than Glamorgan did earlier in the day.

Adam Thomas and Ben Foakes now together for Surrey.

  18. 'Good session for Sussex'published at 16:31 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 137-6

    Adrian Harms
BBC Radio Sussex commentator at Hove

Another good session for Sussex although on a pitch offering help to the seamers the Notts score may not seem as bad as it looks.

That being said Sussex have bowled excellently particularly Ari Karvelas who has taken a wicket and conceded just 12 runs in his 14 overs.

Joe Clarke has looked the most impressive of the Notts batters and it was a surprise when he holed out to cover after looking untroubled for 36.

    Kelly c Brown b Fuller 13 - Leicestershire 50-4 v Hampshire 214

Nick Kelly has just departed one over after Leicestershire reached the innings 50 in the 14th.

A good line and length just a fraction outside off from James Fuller and nicked to the keeper at waist height trying to play inside the line.

Ben Cox joins Hamza Shaikh in the middle.

  20. Postpublished at 16:29 BST 15 September

    Kent 22-2 v Lancashire 161

Big appeal as Jimmy Anderson pitches one right up to Zak Crawley and it strikes him on the pads.

But it looks like it was always sliding down the leg-side and Kent come through for a single.
