    Kent 66-3 v Lancashire 161

Jimmy Anderson carries on with the ninth over of his opening spell.

He thinks he's got Daniel Bell-Drummond caught behind as Lancashire appeal for a feather down the leg-side.

    Not out is the call.

  2. Postpublished at 17:05 BST 15 September

    Surrey 98-6 v Glamorgan 132

Tom Lawes appears to be growing in confidence.

He cover drives Zain ul-Hassan for four and is now 17 not out.

    Cox c Lehmann b Currie 10 - Leicestershire 82-5 v Hampshire 214

A loose defensive push from Ben Cox off Scott Currie and the ball is edged to Jake Lehmann at third slip.

Host captain Ian Holland to bat next.

  4. Postpublished at 17:03 BST 15 September

    Kent 64-3 v Lancashire 161

Daniel Bell-Drummond gets off the mark after 18 balls with a quick single to cover off George Balderson.

    Essex 134 v Warwickshire 91-6

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Warwickshire are by no means guaranteed a first innings lead now.

The ball nipped in by Akhter and Smith, playing slightly across it, looped up a very straightforward catch.

With every passing wicket George Bell’s unbeaten 61 looks more and more valuable.

Vaughan breaks the shacklespublished at 17:00 BST 15 September

    Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 18-2

The scoreboard has barely moved for Somerset since those two early wickets fell.

Just the one run scored since then - and that was an edge off the bat of Henry Nicholls to deep third.

Runs here though! Short from Ben Cliff and Archie Vaughan pulls a six over square leg, into the East Stand.

Some way to get off the mark - to his 19th ball.

Zaman Akhter takes a wicketImage source, Shutterstock

The 16th wicket of the day goes down in Chelmsford - incredible stuff.

Zaman Akhter gets his first dismissal as Kai Smith mistimes his shot and sends a leading edge skyward.

The Bears are still trailing by 43 runs.

They might have to put any thoughts of bonus batting points well on the back burner now and just concentrate on seeing if they can get a first-innings lead.

Amazing to say that when this morning the Bears had Essex reeling on 33-7.

  8. Postpublished at 16:59 BST 15 September

    Surrey 93-6 v Glamorgan 132

Line all wrong by Mir Hamza and it's easy for Tom Lawes to pick his spot on the leg-side and collect four runs.

Hamza doesn't learn the lesson and Lawes helps himself to another boundary to mid-wicket.

He is 12 not out and Ben Foakes has 14.

    Stone b Unadkat 4 (Sussex v Notts 150-8)

Four and out for Olly Stone.

He tries to repeat the trick outside off stump from Jaydev Unadkat but this time he drags on.

A batting point - and decent first innings total - looks rather unlikely now for the defending champions.

  10. 150 runs

150 up for Nottspublished at 16:58 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 150-7

Olly Stone gets off the mark for Notts by flashing Jaydev Unadkat through the covers for four and in doing so, brings his side's total to 150.

  11. Division Two updatepublished at 16:57 BST 15 September

Worcestershire have now taken the new ball at the New Road and must be hoping it will bring them some respite. Durham are 395-5 and Mayank Agarwal is now 175 not out - equalling the score he made for Yorkshire AGAINST Durham last season.

Seb Morgan pulls a long hop from Ed Middleton for four and Middlesex are now 276-8 in the 80th over against Gloucestershire, who will - presumably - be taking a new ball too very shortly.

  12. Postpublished at 16:56 BST 15 September

    Leicestershire 73-4 v Hampshire 214

James Fuller overpitches to Hamza Shaikh and is driven down the ground for four.

Full again and this time driven to deep backward point. Four more.

    20 overs left here tonight.

  13. 6 runs

for Crawleypublished at 16:56 BST 15 September

    Kent 62-3 v Lancashire 161

    Oof, that's a biggie.

Zak Crawley goes full throttle from an over-pitched delivery by George Balderson and sends it into the stands on the leg-side.

Crawley's first six of the innings to go with six fours. He moves to 33.

  14. Postpublished at 16:53 BST 15 September

    Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 12-2

Somerset are precariously placed. Both openers gone inside the first half hour and still 21 overs left tonight.

We've seen good shape, movement and accurate bowling from the Yorkshire seamers in this session.

Henry Nicholls is off the mark with an edge to deep third, stopped by Will Luxton, who makes good ground to stop the boundary.

Archie Vaughan is forward, pushing down the ground and into the off side but there's no run.

  15. Postpublished at 16:53 BST 15 September

    Kent 54-3 v Lancashire 161

You run out of superlatives for Jimmy Anderson, don't you? He's taken all three of Lancashire's wickets in this Kent first innings. He's 44. Impressive stuff.

And now Zak Crawley plays a lovely shot through mid-wicket to flick George Balderson away for four.

    Aitchison c Zaib b Sales 106 (Northants v Derbyshire 304-7)

    Northants finally break the partnership!

Ben Aitchison can be rightly proud of his innings today though, scoring 106 in 132 balls to reach a second century of the season.

Added to that has been the incredibly useful partnership between himself and Wayne Madsen which added 197 runs for the seventh wicket.

Madsen is still unbeaten on 127.

  17. Postpublished at 16:50 BST 15 September

    Surrey 78-6 v Glamorgan 132

If you're looking for reliability, Ben Foakes is so often the man to provide it. He tucks Zain ul-Hassan off his hip for four and moves into double figures.

  18. Shaikh caught behind... off a no ballpublished at 16:48 BST 15 September

    Leicestershire 62-4 v Hampshire 214

Maiden over from James Fuller, bowling to Ben Cox.

Manny Lumsden is full to Hamza Shaikh, driven and stopped at mid off.

Hamza Shaik on two edges the bowler to third slip... caught! No ball!

  19. Stroll in the park for Durhampublished at 16:48 BST 15 September

    Durham 384-5 v Worcestershire

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

This has turned into such a cruise for Durham, I am looking to see if Jane McDonald is in the ground with mic in hand.

Ollie Robinson has 52 and Mayank Agarwal 168. Their partnership is now worth 134.

Apparently Agarwal was dropped in the over after tea when he was on 109 but we didn't see it, if it happened.

  20. 100 runs

100 for Ben Aitchisonpublished at 16:48 BST 15 September

    Northants v Derbyshire 304-6

Nervous nineties? Not a bit of it for Ben Aitchison who hits a six followed by a four to reach his century.

Wayne Madsen (127*) and Aitchison (106*) have added almost 200 runs together now.
