Durham have lost another wicket at the Riverside but are on course for maximum batting points at 418-8 in the 90th over. Kasey Aldridge was the last to go, lbw to Matthew Waite for five.

Middlesex have a second batting point at Bristol, having reached 314-9 in the 88th over. Toby Roland-Jones is 41 not out.

    Randell b Conway 36 (Northants v Derbyshire 360-8)

Harry Conway gets his second wicket in odd circumstances. His yorker beats Brett Randell but he appears to get a little bit of bat on it and the ball slowly rolls into the stumps to remove the bails.

Everyone looks confused for a moment before Conway departs and Conway celebrates.

  3. Postpublished at 17:39 BST 15 September

    Leicestershire 117-5 v Hampshire 214

Kyle Abbott is back in the attack and the sixth ball of his over is nearly through Hamza Shaikh, who drives and inside edges past his stumps for a streaky four.

James Fuller has just come back on at the other end and Ian Holland picks up four with a back foot punch through cover.

The innings deficit dips below 100.

  4. Postpublished at 17:39 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 187-8

The floodlights are on at Hove.

This ninth-wicket partnership is now worth 37 runs for Notts, who have just started to frustrate the Sussex bowlers on what has otherwise been a fine display on day one for the home side.

  5. 6 runs

for Gilespublished at 17:36 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 185-8

Tom Giles is growing in confidence and how important will these runs be for Notts?

Giles, the number 10 bat, just coolly flicks Ari Karvelas over square leg for six. How about that?

  6. Postpublished at 17:36 BST 15 September

    Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 50-4

Henry Nicholls plays George Hill to Ben Cliff at mid on. No run.

Nicholls defends down the ground to see out a maiden over.

Four runs to James Rew who nicks a Matthew Revis ball just past Dom Bess diving to his right at third slip.

    It didn't quite carry.

Four more runs driven beautifully down the ground for the innings 50 in the 18th over.

  7. 'Yep, fair enough, well bowled'published at 17:35 BST 15 September

    Essex 134 v Warwickshire 132-7

    Dick Davies
    BBC Essex

The way Woakes, who I always get the impression is a really nice bloke, the way he raised his hand afterwards to the bowler almost said 'yep, fair enough, well bowled'.

  8. Postpublished at 17:35 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 179-8

Valuable runs for Notts on what has looked a tough pitch to bat on with the weather conditions.

Tom Giles pulls Jaydev Unadkat away for four through mid-wicket.

Giles even takes a single from the last ball of the over to retain the strike. Perhaps the Notts plan to keep Brett Hutton on strike has changed then...

  9. Postpublished at 17:34 BST 15 September

    Kent 89-4 v Lancashire 161

Mitch Stanley catches Zak Crawley on the thigh pad but it runs away for four leg byes for Kent and every run at this stage of the season could be crucial. The home side will gladly accept those gifts.

The next ball, Crawley is struck on the pads again and it's going a long way down.

But there's major hesitation between Crawley and Chris Benjamin as they run a single and Benjamin was a long way out if the throw had hit...

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132

James Taylor has been drafted into the Surrey team as an injury replacement after Matthew Fisher suffered an injury while bowling.

He lasts just six balls at the crease as he is bowled by Timm van der Gugten and Surrey conceded a 17-run first-innings lead.

Van der Gugten finishes with 3-31, while all-rounder Zain ul-Hassan picked up 4-26 from eight overs.

  11. 'What an absolute jaffa'published at 17:34 BST 15 September

    Essex 134 v Warwickshire 130-7

    Kit Harris
    BBC Sport commentator

Having looked so secure for 23 runs, Woakes is vanquished. Killeen has his first wicket, a lively ball that.

It’s a bona fide off-cutter but for its speed it might as well have been an off-break because it has come back the best part of a metre.

    What an absolute jaffa.

  12. Postpublished at 17:32 BST 15 September

    Surrey 114-9 v Glamorgan 132

Dan Worrall is in a hurry.

He smashes Mir Hamza over mid-on for four and then drives straight on the deck and back past the bowler for another boundary.

  13. Postpublished at 17:30 BST 15 September

    Leicestershire 100-5 v Hampshire 214

Four runs to Hamza Shaikh, clipping a full ball off his toes square off the bowling of Scott Currie.

A single off the next ball.

Ian Holland takes Leicestershire to 100 in the 29th over with a drive through the off side for two.

  14. Postpublished at 17:30 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 174-8

Tom Giles gets off the mark from his 14th ball after Notts do opt to take the single this time off Ari Karvelas.

Brett Hutton has three more balls to face in the over and rather fortuitously top edges the first of those over the slips for four.

A block and another dot to end the over so tailender Giles will be back on strike again.

    Morgan b Langridge 38 (Glos v Middx 296-9)

Middlesex's ninth wick stand comes to an end as JT Langridge finds just enough movement to bowl Seb Morgan through the gate.

The youngster added 74 with Toby Roland-Jones, who has now been joined by Danru Ferns.

    Woakes b Killeen 23 (Essex 134 v Warwickshire 127-7)

Chris Woakes was here for a good time, not a long time, as he departs for 23 from 27 balls.

20 of his 23 runs were boundaries with four from one over but Mitch Killeen has cleaned him up with a beauty with the Bears on the cusp of reaching parity.

Just looking at the replay that ball moves a mile after pitching and clatters into the stumps - nothing Woakes could have done.

  17. Postpublished at 17:28 BST 15 September

    Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 42-4

Matthew Revis is in the attack for the first time in the innings.

James Rew leaves on width outside off. A leg side ball is deflected fine for a leg bye.

Henry Nicholls waits in the crease and jabs the next ball through to deep mid-wicket for three.

    Kent 83-4 v Lancashire 161

That's one way to get off the mark, Chris Benjamin...

Crunched through the covers for four off Mitch Stanley from his first ball.

    Nabi lbw Hamza 0 (Surrey 103-9 v Glamorgan 132)

Mir Hamza takes a wicketImage source, Shutterstock

Surrey have now lost three wickets for no runs.

Auqib Nabi cannot cope with Mir Hamza's left-arm pace from round the wicket and there is no doubt about that one.

Number 11 Dan Worrall trudges to the crease. Don't imagine he's relishing this chance to bat.

Worrall is struck on the pad as he tries to clear mid-wicket first ball - but fortunately it is missing leg stump.

  20. wicket

    Bell-Drummond c Jennings b Stanley 9 (Kent 79-4 v Lancashire 161)

Lancashire break a key Kent partnership.

Daniel Bell-Drummond hasn't ever really got going and now he's edged to Keaton Jennings in the slips off Mitch Stanley.

He goes for nine from 38 balls and that is the 14th wicket of the day in this match.
