    Holland LBW b Abbott 13 - Leicestershire 130-6 v Hampshire 214

Three slips in for Kyle Abbott.

Ian Holland is squared up and rapped on the pad.

That nipped in off the seam and the umpire has given it.

    Here comes Ben Green.

  3. Postpublished at 17:56 BST 15 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 3-0

Loud appeal from Dan Worrall as he strikes Zain ul-Hassan on the pad. Ball pitched outside leg stump, though.

Not out and ul-Hassan escapes the possibility of a pair as he picks up a single to square leg.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:56 BST 15 September

    Suthar c Allison b Critchley 9 (Essex 134 v Warwickshire 150-8)

Just as the smattering of applause for the visitors reaching 150 comes to a close, so does Manav Suthar's time in the middle.

The ball pops up off the Bears batter and Charlie Allison takes the catch at short fine leg.

Suthar looks very disappointed with the decision but has to walk.

  5. Postpublished at 17:55 BST 15 September

    Kent 105-5 v Lancashire 161

Lovely shot by Zak Crawley with a roll of the wrists to flick it through the leg-side for three off Mitch Stanley.

Those are the only runs from the 27th over of this Kent first innings and the hosts now trail Lancashire by 56 runs.

  6. Postpublished at 17:54 BST 15 September

    Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 55-5

Craig Overton fences at a Matthew Revis ball that bounces and leaves him outside off stump.

He defends on the back foot into the off side. Maiden over.

There are six overs left in the session.

  7. Postpublished at 17:54 BST 15 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 1-0

Asa Tribe prevents Glamorgan's second innings from beginning with two maidens as he unconvincingly pushes Auqib Nabi for a single. A bit of a leading edge but it was all along the floor.

  8. 200 runs

200 up for Nottspublished at 17:53 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 201-8

Nottinghamshire would have absolutely taken this when they were 150-8.

Tom Giles crashes one away through point for four off Tom Price and Notts move past 200 - and bring up the 50 partnership between Giles and Brett Hutton.

Might a batting point be within reach after all? Another 49 needed to get there for the defending champions.

  9. DERBYSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 372published at 17:53 BST 15 September

    Northants v Derbyshire 372

Mo Abbas is the last man out as Derbyshire post 372.

The final few wickets fell quite quickly at the end there but the innings was lit up by Wayne Madsen's 151 and Ben Aitchison's 106.

    Northants with work to do.

  10. Postpublished at 17:52 BST 15 September

    Leicestershire 129-5 v Hampshire 214

Hamza Shaikh moves into the 40s going across to Kyle Abbott and glancing fine across the line for four.

Good job he hit that! The partnership grows to 47.

He plays and misses but survives the over. Six overs left tonight and the sun is shining. Lovely.

  11. Postpublished at 17:50 BST 15 September

    Sussex v Notts 197-8

Brett Hutton pulls out the reverse sweep against Jack Carson for Notts and it flies away for four.

And with that, the ninth-wicket partnership with Tom Giles is now worth 47 - matching the highest partnership of their innings, which was the opening stand between Haseeb Hameed and Ben Slater.

I knew 132 would be a great score for Glammy

    James, Cardiff

Jimmy Anderson is something else... as much as I love seeing him in the wickets, right now I wish he'd missed this game! Really need Crawley & Benjamin to dig in for the rest of the day, get Kent up to a decent score. All over by Thursday lunchtime?

    Brian, Ramsgate

    Nicholls c Hill b Revis 16 - Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 55-5

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

"Wow, that was an absolute beauty of a catch, wasn't it?"

  14. 50 runs

50 for Sam Hain & Bears leadpublished at 17:48 BST 15 September

    Essex 134 v Warwickshire 148-7

A vital knock from the Bears batter who has held the innings together after seeing his top-order team-mates fall cheaply.

Hain has eight half-centuries for the season but has only converted one of them to 100 - surely a source of frustration for him and if he reaches three figures here it will be a monumental effort for his side in very tricky circumstances.

Warwickshire now lead by 14 runs - I wonder how much of a lead they can build up?

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:45 BST 15 September

    Benjamin b Bailey 15 (Kent 102-5 v Lancashire 161)

Three boundaries and 15 runs from 13 balls but that's the lot for Chris Benjamin.

It's a beauty from Tom Bailey, who gets Benjamin to play all around the line and clean bowls him.

Still very much in the balance in Canterbury - Kent trail by 59 runs with five wickets remaining in the first innings.

  16. Postpublished at 17:45 BST 15 September

    Surrey 115 v Glamorgan 132 & 0-0

How many more wickets are we going to see today? Pity this morning's visiting fox missed so many of them. He/she knows a thing or two about 'tailing in', we bet.

Dan Worrall to open the bowling for the second time today. Zain ul-Hassan is on a pair for Glamorgan, who have 13 overs to try and survive.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:44 BST 15 September

    Nicholls c Hill b Revis 16 - Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 55-5

What a catch by George Hill at first slip, one-handed and diving to his right.

Henry Nicholls had struck a four through cover off Matthew Revis - and two balls later the New Zealand batter is caught on the crease with a loose defensive push.

Here comes the big-hitting Craig Overton.

  18. 100 runs

100 up for Kentpublished at 17:43 BST 15 September

    Kent 100-4 v Lancashire 161

Mitch Stanley offers too much width to Chris Benjamin and the Kent wicketkeeper-batter duly obliges to smash it for four through the off-side.

Benjamin then goes hard once more two balls later - and gets reward as it again pings away to the boundary, behind square on the off-side this time.

He pushes for another single and that brings Kent up to the 100 mark.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:42 BST 15 September

    Madsen c Bartlett b Sanderson 151 (Northants v Derbyshire 366-9)

Wayne Madsen falls for a brilliant 151.

He struck a four to reach the milestone but then departs the following ball from Ben Sanderson's delivery.

It's a leading edge that does it but what an innings from the experienced Madsen who gets his highest score of the season.

  20. Postpublished at 17:41 BST 15 September

    Yorkshire 212 v Somerset 51-4

James Rew is squared up by a George Hill leg cutter and jabs the ball down into the ground.

Lovely seam bowling, just rolling the ball in the fingers on release.

Maiden over. Yorkshire have offered very little respite this evening and Somerset have nine overs left tonight.
