  1. Eng 84-2published at 11 overs

    Target 166

Two new batters at the crease in Jodi Grewcock and Alice Capsey so Ireland will hope to slow the scoring rate at the very least.

Five come from Georgina Dempsey's over.

England's powerplay run-rate in this series is 7.55 - the highest in any ODI series in their history.

The worst ball that Kia McCartney has bowled. Leah Paul juggled it and nearly dropped it but managed to hold it into her jumper.

A filthy delivery from Kia McCartney! She's kind of laughing reluctantly. A poor way for Maia Bouchier to get out.

  5. wicket

    Bouchier c Paul b McCartney 45 (Eng 79-2)

Thumped straight to the fielder at short fine leg!

It is pretty terrible ball from Kia McCartney, too short and angling down leg but Maia Bouchier has managed to smash it to Leah Paul, who snaffles it after a bit of a juggle.

The England opener can't believe what she's done and it's another cheap one for Ireland.

A bit of careless and sloppy start by Ireland. The wicket was a gift but they have not been able to take advantage of that.

  7. Eng 71-1published at 9 overs

    Target 166

Oh dear. Orla Prendergast throws her head back in a mixture of disbelief and disgust.

Having chased Jodi Grewcock's drive all the way to the boundary, she stops the ball just in time, only to slip and - with the ball still in hand - see her stumps go through the boundary cushion.

    A bonus boundary for Grewcock.

Maia Bouchier then clips over mid-wicket for three to end the over.

  8. Eng 63-1published at 8 overs

    Target 166

Maia Bouchier might feel she needs to turn this into a big one after barbequing her opening partner.

After a single for Jodi Grewcock brings her back in strike, she sets about doing just that.

She drives Kia McCartney handsomely through the covers for four and then adds another boundary back down the ground.

Was there a caught and bowled chance with the second though? I think there was, the ball hung in the air but past the left hand of McCartney.

Maia Bouchier is up to her old tricks again! We've spoken about her being a candidate to cause a run out and that proves to be the case.

It's a sorry end for Sophia Dunkley on her 50th ODI appearance. What's important for England is that Maia Bouchier has to let it go, rather than hang on to it. She has been batting beautifully.

That was an astonishing run given it was hit straight to the fielder! Sophia Dunkley just set off. A bizarre run.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 7.1 overs

Dunkley run out (Prendergast) 20 (Eng 54-1)

    Absolutely dreadful running.

Maia Bouchier drives the ball straight to the fielder at cover and, inexplicably, sets off for a single.

Almost equally remarkable is the fact that Sophia Dunkley doesn't immediately shout 'NO!' and instead runs through to be run out by almost half a pitch length.

Ireland can't believe their good fortune.

  12. Eng 53-0published at 7 overs

    Target 166

The fifty partnership comes up after seven overs.

Another boundary, this one drilled past mid-off by Sophia Dunkley, brings it up.

    England are cruising.

  13. 6 runs

    Eng 49-0published at 6.2 overs

    Target 166

Tim mentioned Blockbusters earlier, I don't know about that but England want to be done in time for House of Games, it seems!

Sophia Dunkley gets in on the act with a glorious shot, hit high over extra cover for six off Orla Prendergast.

That is really poor. When you're not bowling well you need fielders to wear it and just get in the way. Jane Maguire will just go back to her fielding positions feeling really deflated.

  15. Eng 43-0published at 6 overs

    Target 166

Too short again and this time wide of off as well. It's easy pickings for Maia Bouchier, especially in this form, and she pummels it through the covers to the boundary.

And there's the third boundary of the over, this time lifted effortlessly back over the bowler's head. Just a touch too full from Jane Maguire.

Make it four fours in the over. Punched to cover by Bouchier and a misfield lets the ball through - the last thing Maguire needed at the end of an already expensive over.

Maia Bouchier is using her crease really well but it's all about the length from Jane Maguire - she's not using her fielders at all.

She should be trying to create a false shot at mid-on or mid-off. I think Ireland are missing Arlene Kelly.

  17. Eng 31-0published at 5.2 overs

    Target 166

Drag down from Jane Maguire and Maia Bouchier punishes it.

Pulled with conviction in front of square. Four more.

  18. Eng 27-0published at 5 overs

    Target 166

Maia Bouchier is picking up where she left off in Leicester.

She adds her third boundary with a lovely flick off the pads, over square leg and away to the fence.

England are off to solid start in this run-chase.

Sophia Dunkley is scoring 75% of her 50-over runs through the off side this year. Prior to this year she was far more leg-side dominant, with less than half of her runs scored on the off side.

  20. Eng 21-0published at 4 overs

    Target 166

The luck isn't with Ireland today, it seems.

Well bowled by Jane Maguire and she finds Maia Bouchier's inside edge as the England opener pushes forward.

The ball flies back but just misses the stumps and runs away for four.

Four more to end the over. Bouchier is in control of that one, cutting firmly through backward point.
