Alice Tector will be keen to make a good score today. She missed out on a good pitch at Leicester. She'll just need to stay patient and work herself into the game.

A reminder that England lead this three-match series after an impressive performance in the opening game.

Set 282 to win by Ireland, England made light work of what is now their record successful chase in ODIs.

Maia Bouchier led to way with a superb 104 from 95 balls, with her opening partner Sophia Dunkley making 73.

With the extra bit of carry you can get here off the pitch at Derby I'd have the wicketkeeper up here. On first look it seems like a good pitch, and the Irish openers seem keen to go after it.

  4. Ire 4-0published at 1 over

Four from the first over but not quite what Ryana MacDonald-Gay would have been after, all slightly too wide from the right-arm seamer.

There will be a few nerves given this is her first ODI for two years.

  5. Ire 2-0published at 0.2 overs

Ryana MacDonald-Gay is into the side and straight into the action as she is thrown the new ball by Charlie Dean.

Good delivery to start, just beating Alice Tector outside off. The Ireland opener is away next ball, though, guiding it down to deep third for a couple.

England have a lot of players to experiment with so it's great to see Ryana MacDonald-Gay come in. I would like to see Charlotte Edwards change the side up more often.

Ireland captain Gaby Lewis: "We were going to bat but we had conversation about both, a long morning of discussions but we're happy to bat, it might slow up in the second innings.

"We can still push on for more with the bat and with the ball it's that consistency. We were disappointed after the first game but there were definitely some positives to take. It's about building on them."

  9. Postpublished at 12:54 BST 3 September

England captain Charlie Dean: "We're going to have another bowl, it went really well for us the other day chasing and it looks a good pitch.

"Bit of moisture so hopefully it'll do a bit early on.

"We can be more clinical with the ball, Ireland batted really well and put pressure on us early so hopefully we can be clinical and reduce those extras, hit the ground running in the field."

  10. England win the toss and bowlpublished at 12:50 BST 3 September

The coin comes down in favour of England and Charlie Dean says the hosts are going to chase again.

Gaby Lewis says Ireland are happy as they wanted to bat first.

One change for each side, England bring in Ryana MacDonald-Gay comes for Lauren Filer while for Ireland, Arlene Kelly drops out for Georgina Dempsey.
