  1. Eng 124-4published at 18 overs

Dani Gibson pulls a short delivery from Jane Maguire square but it's cut off by the boundary sweeper.

    Gibson off the mark.

  2. Eng 119-4published at 17 overs

Three dots to finish from Cara Murray.

Jane Maguire back into the attack.

  3. drinks break

England 119-4 at drinkspublished at 16.4 overs

The fall of the wicket prompts the umpires to take drinks.

I think it's actually a better ball than Jodi Grewcock initially thought. She thought it was a drag down so went to pull it but couldn't get the power on it.

Good wicket for Ireland but another good, capable batter comes in for England. They just keep coming.

Bit of a nothing delivery, it looked like a bit of drag down but she's pulled it straight to Gaby Lewis.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.4 overs

    Grewcock c Lewis b Murray 24

Jodi Grewcock largely gives her wicket away.

She rocks on to the back foot against Cara Murray and ends up clipping into the hands of Ireland skipper Gaby Lewis.

    Ireland still have hope.

  7. Eng 118-3published at 16 overs

    Target 166

    Kia McCartney continues.

Jodie Grewcock misses a sweep shot to a delivery down leg but Amy Hunter is unable to cut it off. Five wides.

This seems to be England's game barring something spectacular.

    Thanks, Sam.

Freya Kemp seems to keen to finish this quickly.

England need 59 to win with plenty of time to get them.

Freya Kemp is on the charge.

After a somewhat ugly hoick leg side brings two, the left-hander hammers the next ball over the bowler's head for four.

A nice drive then brings three. England need just 59 more to win and to see us through the remainder of this match, here is Timothy Abraham.

Vintage Freya Kemp! She loves using her feet and hitting down the ground.

  11. 6 runs

    Eng 98-3published at 14.1 overs

    Target 166

    Glorious from Freya Kemp.

Good footwork to advance to Cara Murray and then a wonderfully clean hit to send the ball a long way over the rope at long-off.

Capsey's troubles against spin continue in ODI’s - 16 of her 25 dismissals in the format have been against spin. She now averages just 16 against spin and twice as much against pace bowling.

  13. Eng 92-3published at 14 overs

    Target 166

Kia McCartney drops short a couple of times in the over but has the cover on the off side to mean Jodi Grewcock has to settle for two on each occasion.

Despite the little wobble, England are getting ever closer to victory.

I respect the bravey of keeping mid-on and mid-off to Freya Kemp and Ireland nearly got their reward.

A nice little phase from Ireland. The first two wickets were lucky but they have bowled well since.

Freya Kemp is flirting with danger!

  16. Eng 87-3published at 13 overs

    Target 166

With Freya Kemp joining Jodi Grewcock at the crease, England have two left-handers batting together.

I've been covering England women's games for more than a decade now and I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've seen this. How exciting!

It nearly ends in a matter of balls as Kemp tries to pull Cara Murray leg side and the ball drops millimetres short of the mid-on fielder.

That was a good piece of bowling from Kia McCartney, who did not get the rewards she deserved in the last ODI. Alice Capsey did not even consider reviewing it.

Alice Capsey looks down the pitch ruefully but she has to walk off. That's a good piece of bowling and England are having a bit of a wobble!

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12 overs

    Capsey lbw b McCartney 1 (Eng 85-3)

    Ireland have got another one!

At the end of another good over from Kia McCartney, the spinner bowls one that stays low and pins Alice Capsey in front.

No thought of a review from the England batter, she just glares at the pitch. The lack of bounce did for her and it looked pretty adjacent.

Ireland have got a little opening here with two batters at the crease. They need to build a little bit of pressure on England here.
