Have your say on England women this summer

First change of bowling of the innings and we're going to see some spin. Here comes Tilly Corteen-Coleman to replace Ryana MacDonald-Gay.

A double teapot from Issy Wong after a massive hoick across the line from Amy Hunter for that boundary. I can understand why she is absolutely fuming.

  3. Ire 26-1published at 8 overs

Well... they all count but that is an ugly shot from Amy Hunter. A horrible heave across the line, the ball comes off the inside half of the bat and through the leg side for four.

    Issy Wong is not impressed.

It's not easy to play cross-batted shots on this pitch by the looks of things.

Hunter and Lewis are Ireland's most productive partnership in ODI cricket, with 12 50-plus scores from 25 innings together and over 1,250 runs scored as a pair.

  6. Ire 19-1published at 7 overs

Another Ryana MacDonald-Gay over goes by with just a single from it, it's all too wide from the England seamer though.

They've got one already and run outs have looked the most likely route to wickets for the home side so far.

That would have been out by two metres! It was a shocking from Freya Kemp - a bit comical really.

  8. Ire 18-1published at 6 overs

Issy Wong calls Alice Capsey to stand up to the stumps, she does so but gets little thanks - a yorker that hits the toe-end of the bat and goes through the keeper's legs for a single.

Run out chance! Nearly a second run out for England after a comedy of errors ends with Amy Hunter stranded mid-pitch... but Freya Kemp's shy at the stumps is just off target.

Gaby Lewis like pace bowling. Anything below head height is her bread and butter. Alice Capsey is now up to the stumps but that's a challenge she has to face.

  10. Ire 17-1published at 5.3 overs

    Top shot!

Banged into too short by Issy Wong but Gaby Lewis is walking at her and wallops the ball, flat-batted, over wide mid-on for four.

Ryana MacDonald-Gay has not really been able to find that control so far. I wouldn't want her to finish her opening spell without a few tweaks to her bowling.

  12. Ire 13-1published at 5 overs

Just one from Ryana MacDonald-Gay and the run comes from the best ball of the over.

Full, a fraction outside off and a hint of movement away from the right-handed Gaby Lewis to take the edge.

Well wide of Alice Capsey, though, and with no slip in place - not that it would have carried - the ball runs down to deep third for a single.

  13. Ire 12-1published at 4 overs

Better line from Issy Wong but all a touch too short, perhaps realising there isn't the same amount of swing on offer today.

It's all been pretty comfortable for Gaby Lewis and Amy Hunter to deal with, albeit while only taking a pair of singles from the over.

Notably less movement on offer for Wong today in her first over. Just 0.4° of movement through the air, three times less than what she found in Leicester

  15. Ire 10-1published at 3 overs

Still a bit too wide from Ryana MacDonald-Gay and after, the ball after being called for a wide, Gaby Lewis climbs into a short ball outside off and hammers it through backward point.

The first boundary of the innings.

  16. Ire 5-1published at 2 overs

Good start from Issy Wong, just a single from the over - guided down to deep third by Gaby Lewis for her first run.

Amy Hunter is the new batter for Ireland.

That was pretty average from Alice Tector. A bit of lazy running and no dive.

To be run out from there is criminal. There was indecision when it should have been one easily.

Sophia Dunkley with a direct hit from mid-on has rather nonchalantly run out Alice Tector!

Tector run out (Dunkley) 3 (Ireland 4-1)

Gone - brilliant from Sophia Dunkley!

It was a nice straight drive from Alice Tector but Dunkley came round from mid-off to cut it off before taking aim at the stumps.

She finds her target and Tector, who didn't put in a dive, ends up a couple of inches short of the crease. The lack of a dive really costs the Ireland opener.

    Ire 4-0

    Ooh, this could be close.

Great fielding by Sophia Dunkley and a direct hit as Alice Tector tries to get through for a quick single.

Did the Ireland opener make her ground?
