    That brings up the fifty stand for the third wicket between Clarke (29) and Ben Martindale (33) from 83 balls.

    A good recovery for the visitors who had lost two quick wickets.

    Massive celebration from Craig Overton, he is extra pumped up having missed last week's win in his first few days as a father and having dropped that catch off Charlie Tear earlier today.

    Saved himself a bit of fine money and gave Tear just 10 more runs.

    78 balls Tear faced, John Simpson in at six.

    Derbyshire are 54-1 from 20 overs against Middlesex at Derby.

    That dreaded title I am so sorry to have to use, particularly for those who love watching internationals smash it around the park.

    Batting fireworks were guaranteed as this innings progressed but we may well have an early lunch as the rain is fairly heavy and light not great after 41 overs of this Durham innings.

    Matt Potts is hard done by to be carded below Brydon Carse at 11 and I still remember vividly his Daddy Hundred at Edgbaston to that ridiculously short one-sided boundary in April 2024.

    A second direct hit from the field this morning removes the middle stump at the wicketkeeper's end, but Ben Martindale has made his ground.

    The Notts opener then drives a full ball past mid-off and picks up two to bring up 50 for the visitors. Good over from Michael Booth, though, as he twice beats the edge.
