Kai Widdrington

Dazzling dancer Kai Widdrington is certainly no stranger to the Ballroom!

Kai started dancing at the age of nine and by the time he was 14, he’d already bagged the World Junior Latin-American Champion title. He also made it to the Britain’s Got Talent Final in 2012 at just 16 years old.

Before joining the Strictly family, Kai competed as a Professional Dancer on Dancing With the Stars Ireland from its very first series in 2017, as well as appearing in several Strictly Pro performances over the years.

In 2021, Kai officially joined the Strictly professional line-up and made quite the debut! Partnered with TV presenter AJ Odudu, the pair danced their way to the Grand Final, but sadly had to withdraw after AJ suffered an injury.

In 2022, Kai partnered broadcaster Kaye Adams, before returning to the Ballroom with award-winning broadcaster and presenter Angela Rippon in 2023. The pair enjoyed a fantastic run, making it all the way to the iconic Blackpool Ballroom.

While Kai didn’t have a celebrity partner during the main competition in 2024, he certainly ended the year in style! Partnered with Tayce for the Strictly Christmas Special, the pair scored a perfect 40 and lifted the Christmas Glitterball Trophy.

In 2025, Kai returned to the competition alongside TV personality and presenter Vicky Pattison. The pair danced their way through eight weeks of the competition before their Strictly journey came to an end.

With World Champion and Christmas Champion titles already under his belt, Kai is back and ready to bring his smooth moves and Ballroom brilliance to Strictly once again!
