You have to think that Katie Shanahan could hear the roars of the crowd in the final 50m of the 200m backstroke and she powered from third place into a potential winning position.

It was such a tight finish you could almost hear the crowd hold their breath as they looked to the electronic board for the result. A silver for Shanahan, and a second medal for Scotland in the pool.

Men's Team Final, plus individual apparatus qualifying

Luke Whitehouse tackles the parallel bars first for England as they seek to whittle down the 3.150 gap to Canada.

Whitehouse has a face like thunder as he dismounts, he feels he's left some points up there after losing a bit of momentum.

12.900 for him, not quite what he was after, with a lower execution score than he'd have wanted and a penalty to boot.

What a medal ceremony for Duncan Scott, who looked very emotional soaking up the atmosphere as an incredible rendition of Flower of Scotland is sang across the pool adorned with Scottish flags. A roaring chorus of singing.

The singing didn't stop there - as Scott walks around the pool 'Yes Sir, I can boogie' is played out of the speakers. A special medal ceremony for Scott, and not the last of these Games I'm sure.
