There is no mistaking who Buddy Olive has come dressed as - and who he is supporting today.
The 10-year-old from Bury might be way too young for the original Happy Gilmore film, but his dad Grant says his lad has watched the all-time classic - and the recent surrealist sequel - plenty of times.
Luckily his favourite Fleetwood is not having any Happy-style meltdowns on the putting greens.
And has just tap, tap, tapped his way into contention on the eighth…

At 241 yards, the par-three 15th isn't a hole to mess about with. Take your three and quickly move on.
Cameron Young understands the assignment. Another crack out of the sweetspot with a fairway wood, he draws one in to the right-hand side of the green, away from the bunkers on the left.
From 35 feet, he nudges his putt down the hill. It runs past four feet past the cup but he makes no mistake with the return. Another well-played hole.

No birdies on the card for Bryson DeChambeau yet today and he's not going to get one on the very difficult sixth hole.
Deep rough with his drive, more rough with his second and he's having to knuckle it out to escape with par.
In the end, a gutsy 10-footer sees him escape unscathed.

Not the best pair of tee shots to the par-three fourth for the final group.
New Zealand's Ryan Fox is able to recover from the bunker to save par but American Sam Burns, chipping in the front of the green, misjudges his second and misses from 15 feet for par.
His lead is down to one stroke.

It's been a shaky start for Lucas Herbert but he rolls in a nice six-footer for birdie at five and moves back to level for the round.

After his round yesterday, I asked Gerard if he felt like he might go under the radar in the final round because he'll be largely unknown to a British audience.

The seventh green has been rebuilt in recent years, with the elevated surface having a steep run-off on the left-hand side.
In the winter ice you could get a piece of tarpaulin and slide down it.
Both Fleetwood and Neergaard-Petersen go sledging, but at least they avoided the famous donut bunker.
Took someone (ahem) three stabs out of here on the Open media day…

Oh Tommy! Fleetwood takes the wedge this time when just off the seventh green and he clips it off the turf magnificently, sending it rolling towards the hole, tracking, turning towards the flag but, no!
The ball finishes in the worst place, directly behind the hole as it breaks just too late. Fleetwood roars and looks up to the heavens in frustration but that was a wonderful effort.
He's playing so well but needs something special to happen soon to put some pressure on the leaders.

Cameron Young booms a beauty of a drive down the par-five 14th, but he hangs his head after watching his second hook to the left and run through the green.
He chips down to six feet for a must-make birdie.
And he does make it! The Players champion joins Ryan Fox on nine under.

Shane Lowry ends the back nine with another par to keep himself in with a chance of closing the back in the remainder of his round.
No such luck for Jon Rahm who makes a bogey and is now at evens.
Rahm, incidentally, was so furious with his start at the first hole - which he double bogeyed - that he ripped his glove in two.

Again it's nice judgement from range with the putter from Tommy Fleetwood - he didn't run it at the hole on six but there's a big ditch after the pin so that's a wise move.
You get the impression that he's going to have to be spot on with this club today to stand a chance.
