    Roma 1-1 Real Madrid

Fair play to both teams. There is clearly a motion in play tonight to not defend and play purely off vibes.

Both Roma and Real Madrid look capable of scoring every time they go forward, purely because the other lot can’t defend.

PSG are absolutely running riot at the Etihad! Man City look bewildered and out to sea, and risk being completely blown off the pitch at this rate.

I said this could be anything before the game but I didn't see PSG being three up after half an hour. But this is what they're capable of.

They have been ruthless. They look like they are literally in a different league. Champions League vs Championship.

    Man City 0-3 PSG

Manchester City have conceded three first half goals in a home game for the first time since November 2015 vs Liverpool in the Premier League.

This is the second-earliest City have ever trailed by 3+ goals in a Champions League game (32nd min), after only April 2018 away to Liverpool (31st).

    Man City 0-3 PSG

    Chris Sutton

Man City are getting mauled in their own back yard. PSG are pummelling them.

It's such a clever flick into Vitinha who runs onto it. It's an incredible, accomplished finish.

This is an absolute masterclass. It's ominous for every other team in the Champions League.

You could only say, are PSG going too early this season?

  13. Postpublished at 20:37 BST

    Aston Villa 2-0 Fenerbahce

Nicolas Jackson is the first player to score in four of his first five Champions League starts for any team since Sebastien Haller in December 2021 (all five).

    John Murray

This is something special from PSG. This is why they are European champions.

    Aston Villa 2-0 Fenerbahce

Nicolas Jackson has a chance for his second goal but his snap-shot from just inside the box is punched out by Ederson.

  16. Jackson is the 'first name down on the team sheet'published at 20:36 BST

    Aston Villa 2-0 Fenerbahce

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

Right on cue. We were talking about him (Nicolas Jackson) and were saying about how well he'll work with the manager. The manager gave him extra time and he's got a position now. He's the number nine, he's the first name down on the team sheet and what a finish. He's got that confidence. At other clubs, he hasn't got the confidence in him that he has now.

Look at that. One touch out of his feet, and he's just thinking about goal-scoring. The second touch just shifts the ball beautifully and then the shot takes it across the goalkeeper, that's the key.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:36 BST

    Aston Villa 2-0 Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce are so close to pulling one back.

Oguz Aydin runs down the left onto a long ball, controlling it expertly before hammering in a shot that comes off the crossbar.

They claim Zion Suzuki tipped it onto the bar but the officials give a goal-kick.

  18. goal

GOAL - Man City 0-3 PSGpublished at 20:35 BST

    Vitinha (32 mins)

Goodness me, Manchester City have been absolutely ripped apart here.

It's quality from PSG but it's another mistake from City that gifts the European champions their third.

The defenders are not tight to PSG and the gaps are being exploited. A cheeky backheel from Warren Zaire-Emery and Vitinha only has to run onto the ball and place it past Gianluigi Donnarumma.

  19. 'No other team works as hard as PSG'published at 20:35 BST

    Man City 0-2 PSG

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Etihad Stadium

PSG are devastating without the ball. For all the talent that they have, I don't think there's another team that presses and works as much as they do.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:35 BST

    Man City 0-2 PSG

Achraf Hakimi almost makes it three and that would surely be game over.

Manchester City look all over the place as Josko Gvardiol is beaten to the header and Gianluigi Donnarumma is wrong footed, he was nowhere near it.
