  1. Jackson has found a 'father figure' in Emerypublished at 20:59 BST

Former Chelsea and Villa midfielder on TNT Sports

That's Jackson's fourth goal in three games. There were questions about him towards the end of his Chelsea career, and at Bayern Munich where he was playing as second fiddle to Harry Kane, but he looks like he might just have found a home and a father figure who's going to get the best out of him, because there's certainly some talent there.

  2. Villa 'growing into a team'published at 20:58 BST

    HT: Aston Villa 3-0 Fenerbahce

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

Villa have been growing into a team this season. It's not going to happen overnight. Emery's lost the spine of his team and it's going to take a little while to build that confidence and structure. He is a very structured manager and the team have to be able to play into a real strict pattern of play.

  3. Half-time scores from elsewhere in Europepublished at 20:55 BST

    Slovan Bratislava 0-1 Stuttgart

    Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

    Shakhtar Donetsk 1-1 AEK Athens

    Roma 1-1 Real Madrid

    Real Betis 0-0 Porto

  4. 'Acid test for Barcola will be Brentford on Saturday'published at 20:55 BST

    FT: LASK 3-6 Liverpool

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Bradley Barcola had the run of his full-back. I think the full-back he was playing against was taken off at half-time - that tells you everything.

I don't read too much into it because I expect Liverpool to go there and win and win comfortably. The big question is Brentford away on Saturday. Can Barcola do that against Brentford because that's what they have bought him for. It's to play big games away from home, not LASK away from home. That's essentially a confidence building exercise for him.

Also he hasn't played that much football this season, so it's about getting him fitter and sharper but the acid test will be Brentford away.

  5. 'He's a local lad from the Wirral'published at 20:55 BST

    FT: LASK 3-6 Liverpool

    Steve McManaman
Former Liverpool winger on TNT Sports

For me personally, knowing a lot of the academy boys, Lewis Koumas deserbed getting a goal. He got one disallowed tonight, he had other chances again, and he got on the score sheet. You can see what it means to him and his father.

He's a local lad from the Wirral. So I'm thrilled to bits for him.

Barcola has suddenly jumped into being someone who is not struggling! His record is flying, and one of them was off the bench. His goal scoring record is great regardless of the opposition.

  6. Iraola knows that his players 'can handle the pressure'published at 20:54 BST

    FT: LASK 3-6 Liverpool

    Joe Cole
Former Chelsea and England midfielder on TNT Sports

For a night like tonight, you have to put yourself in Iraola's shoes. He wants to win the game first and foremost. He wants players to perform. He wants to use his squad.

He's ticked all of those boxes. It's a little bit concerning with Jeremy Jacquet going off, I hope that's OK. If he was playing Real Madrid needing to qualify in this competition, that wouldn't be the team, but he knows that these boys can come into a Liverpool team now, they can perform, they can handle the pressure.

It's difficult to say what he (Iraola) would have learnt tonight, because I think he would have expected Liverpool to score goals. I think he would have learnt that Lewis Koumas is an option.

He's still got a long way to go before he's the starting number nine for Liverpool with the heights that they want to get to, but there's a kid there who sets the press, he's got a lot of ability, he can score goals.

I think it's also another game for Rio Ngumoha who looks sharp and bright, and I think Iraola will have just been very happy for Barcola because he didn't want him to start getting (talk of) 'when's it going to come for him?' - well it has come and it's happened tonight, so there's lots of positives for the manager.

We said it could go either way for Liverpool with great attacking players and a disjointed back four. But apart from the three goals when they got opened up a little bit, six goals away from home, you can't lie LASK are miles off it, there will certainly be a tougher test against Brentford on the weekend, but for Barcola, that's a great night for him. That's what they paid all that money for.

  7. 'I’m very happy with the performance'published at 20:53 BST

    FT: LASK 3-6 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola: “I’m very happy with the performance. Today I think we were very aggressive with the ball, sometimes you talk aggressiveness without the ball but I’m talking about with the ball. I think we took good positions, we moved the ball well, attacked the spaces well. We conceded those goals, but overall I think the performance was very good.”

On the defensive struggles in the second half: “Probably the reason why the manager shouldn’t change both centre-backs, but we were already winning 4-0 and you have to think about the next game and saving the legs of the players. We didn’t defend properly at the end of the game."

On hat-trick hero Bradley Barcola: “I think he played so well today and not just the goals. He had more chances to score, he was always a threat attacking the spaces in behind. In training sometimes you feel when a player is in the zone, and fortunately tonight for us he has shown the level that he has.”

On Florian Wirtz’s impact: “I think he was amazing in possession. I think he had lively passes, good assists, he helped us to control the game. Especially in the first half where he was roaming around and finding good spots. It was a good game from Florian.

On youngster Lewis Koumas: “he has to enjoy it because he deserves it. I think he scored two disallowed goals which is unlucky for him but he kept pressing, making the runs in behind and doing his job. I think it’s fair that he score his goal and can have his moment of celebration with the supporters.”

  8. 'Tame effort'published at 20:51 BST

    HT: Man City 0-3 PSG

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Etihad Stadium

Quite a tame effort from Jeremy Doku and it's straight at Matvey Safonov.

It's a bit more dynamic from Doku there.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:50 BST

    Man City 0-3 PSG

The ball is drilled in to Jeremy Doku by Elliot Anderson but the Belgian's low strike to the far post is saved.

But that will be that, a big half-time team talk for Enzo Maresca.

  10. Jackson is 'just going to get better and better'published at 20:49 BST

    HT: Aston Villa 3-0 Fenerbahce

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

Jackson has found a home now hasn't he? He's playing down the middle, he knows every week he's going to play in that position. He's just going to get better and better. He's got a manager that backs him and really rates him. He's in a Villa side that are just going to improve and get better through the season, similar to last year.

  11. 'Bit of fear from City'published at 20:48 BST

    Man City 0-3 PSG

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Etihad Stadium

There is a bit of fear from Manchester City when they are on the ball. They are a bit tentative and lack confidence and that's down to PSG's press.

  12. Postpublished at 20:48 BST

    Man City 0-3 PSG

PSG looking dangerous every time they come forward.

City probably just need half time.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:47 BST

    Aston Villa 3-0 Fenerbahce

Villa are cruising at the break thanks to Johan Manzambi's birthday goal and Nicolas Jackson's double.

  14. Postpublished at 20:46 BST

    Aston Villa 3-0 Fenerbahce

    Just one minute added on.

  15. 'Safonov is nowhere there'published at 20:45 BST

    Man City 0-3 PSG

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Etihad Stadium

Josko Gvardiol must be three or four yards out when he heads the ball and Matvey Safonov is nowhere there.

Gvardiol just has to get it on target and he scores.

  16. 'This could be a cricket score'published at 20:45 BST

    Aston Villa 3-0 Fenerbahce

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

Fenerbahce have got to stay strong and not let another one in just before half-time. My word, this could be a cricket score, but Villa have been absolutely brilliant from the start.

  17. Postpublished at 20:44 BST

    Man City 0-3 PSG

Josko Gvardiol takes his frustration out on the post as he and Marc Guehi go for the same ball from the corner.

It's not City's night so far.

  18. Postpublished at 20:44 BST

    Aston Villa 3-0 Fenerbahce

Villa are so dominant right now after a more even start to the game. Matty Cash has a crack from just outside the area but Ederson saves.

  19. 'That is a finish of a man who's confident'published at 20:43 BST

    Aston Villa 3-0 Fenerbahce

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

This is a brilliant goal, because he goes through the legs of the defender with the finish. He knows exactly what he's doing, the goalkeeper can't defend that when you go through the defender's legs.

Villa pinch the ball, it's a lovely little pinch of the ball from John McGinn and it comes back to Jackson and he's gone for that. That is the finish of a man who is confident. Beautiful, beautiful finish.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:43 BST

    Aston Villa 3-0 Fenerbahce

Villa midfielder Johan Manzambi is running away and Matteo Guendouzi grabs his shirt to pick up a yellow card.
