Villa putting up some good performances. Unai Emery is gelling so fast with his replacements at Villa. They're proving difficult already, becoming hard to beat.

This is why no early-season bad vibes will ever turn fans away from Emery. Two nil up in the Champions League and he's still not happy. He matches our ambition and we will forever love him for it.

For all of the controlling moments that there has been in the first half, there's [also] moments where Mikel Arteta will not be happy with because Arsenal look quite open at times, and Bayern Munich are finding the passes to hurt them.

  11. Bayern can 'really cause some damage'published at 20:58 BST

    Bayern Munich 1-1 Arsenal

There has been some really interesting play. Arsenal have had a clear plan which David Raya has been a part of in how they are going to get forward, and they have had control in parts of the match, but also some very loose parts of the game which is very unlike them.

I think when Bayern have managed to turn it over, they have looked like they can really cause some damage and they have had the better chances in the game.

    Aston Villa 2-0 Viking

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Villa Park

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery stormed off at the half-time waving his arms about in fury. Suspect it was with the officials for playing a few added seconds when Viking had a corner but he's not been that happy on a few occasions.

Surely no complaints about his team - other than they should be even more than two goals ahead.

    Nedum Onuoha
Former Man City defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

It's a little surprising to see Arsenal so open.

The way Bayern have tried to play at times has led to Arsenal being caught out and being stretched defensively, when we are used to them being so solid, or getting numbers back straight away.

If Bayern's decision making or final ball was better then Arsenal would be behind at half-time but I am sure Mikel Arteta will speak about it at the break and we might see his side being a bit more cautious in the second half, because clearly Bayern are ready for them to attack, and have got a plan for it.

You can hear more from Onuoha on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 BST on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

Half time and this is a great watch.

Arsenal have been aggressive and played well.

It's a great moment for Eze to score after the recent criticism too but the Gunners will be worrying about how bad the injury to Saka injury is.

And Harry Kane, wow. Some of the passes this half have been incredible. What a player.
