A final word from Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner on the challenge of facing Tottenham, who are bottom of the Premier League table with no points and no goals from two games:

"They have many options. They have invested massively in their squad and that makes it difficult to know who will probably start.

"On the other side, [Roberto] De Zerbi has a clear way he plays with his teams. That makes it a little bit easier to prepare. The patterns are very obvious.

"He has a certain way of playing and I think we can see in some situations they are doing very well and in others not everything is settled. It takes time with new signings.

"They have certain ways we expect them to press us and that is how we prepare the team."

More from Oliver Glasner on Nottingham Forest's record of only winning one of their past 12 home league games:

"The next opportunity is on Saturday. At the end the approach is always the same - go out and win the game. Especially in front of your fans at home.

"But, sometimes if you want it too much it goes the opposite way. Play the best football we can play and then we have the best chance to get the win.

"The most important thing is not to think about records too much in a positive or negative way. It can become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

"The most important thing when you sign a striker is the finishing quality because you want them to score goals. He has shown that during the entire week, which is very positive.

"We can see he is not in a match rhythm but his impact in the Liverpool game was really good. The second goal comes from his running, his power, and also his quick throw-in.

"His physical presence, his runs, his power - that is what we have seen, especially when he played for Ipswich. He showed that in 30 minutes at Liverpool so it is good to have him here."

Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner on how his squad looks after the transfer window: "I'm very happy and very pleased with how the transfer window went. We wanted to reduce the number of players and also adding quality players with top character. I think we achieved everything."

On reuniting with Daniel Munoz, who Forest signed from his former club Crystal Palace: "We want to add quality and mentality an Daniel Munoz has proven both in the Premier league and also at the World Cup. He is very reliable, his mentality is incredible, but also it will take time for him to settle in and know everyone.

"It's getting him back to his top fitness level because then he can play with his top strength. As soon as we were informed he was available then we knew it could be a great addition and the club worked hard to find an addition."

Glasner also confirmed Munoz is available for this weekend but is still working towards full fitness.

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have picked up just one point from their two Premier League games under new manager Oliver Glasner.

They are 15th in the table and host struggling Spurs in their next match on Saturday.

Forest were in the unique position of losing twice to the same club, Leeds, in three days - in their Premier League opener and then again in the EFL Cup.

They picked up their first point of the season with a 2-2 draw at Liverpool.

As our football reporter Nick Mashiter put it, it's been quality over quantity this transfer window for Forest.

Glasner will look for new signing Ousmane Diomande to slot alongside Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic in a back three, while Daniel Munoz has followed him from Crystal Palace and puts Ola Aina's position under threat at right-back.

It is hoped that Liam Delap will prove to be the perfect long-term replacement for Chris Wood up front.

Newcastle United

Newcastle head coach Matthias Jaissle on playing Bournemouth: "Yeah, it will be the same idea of how we want to play football. This is independent of the opponent, we have a clear way, clear identity and I hope atmosphere will be the same, [just as] emotional, the same energy, definitely, even though the kick-off is a bit earlier, so I also need to adapt to that.

"I think it was the last time when I played in the youth actually when it was that early, but jokes aside, it's something that is just new for us.

"I really hope that the fans and all the supporters will be cheering for us in the same way like against Liverpool and in the cup."

On spending during the transfer window: "When you see the balance in what we spent and what we earned, it's interesting and it's a great step from the club. I think it's bringing the average age heavily down compared to last season, all these things are so consistent with our brave way for the future and that will be successful."

Newcastle United

On Jacob Murphy and Joel Willock staying with the Magpies: "Yeah, I think now we have a well-balanced squad. The lads were doing good in the pre season, they showed their quality, I think they still have potential to even do better and therefore we made a decision that this is the final squad."

On Nick Woltemade joining Juventus: "I really appreciate Nick as a player for his quality on and off the pitch. So we had always good conversations, really honest conversations, and he decided now to take another challenge in a top league with a top club.

"We will be monitoring him and looking and seeing him quite closely. I'm really curious how he's doing and I'm sure he will score a lot of goals there for sure. He's still our player, so therefore we will for sure stay in close contact."

Talking of Newcastle head coach Matthias Jaissle, here he is on Matias Fernandez-Pardo and the club's transfer day business: "It was an interesting last day. We worked ahead of time on that deal and finalised it in the last hours. I'm pleased and happy to have him on board.

"For a young age he's already showing a lot of strength on the pitch. A physical level which fits in well with how we want to play football. He's versatile in his approach, he can play in multiple positions.

"He's fit, he's training with us, but it's been a while since he's played a full 90 minutes.

"It's important for the young lad to adapt to our intensity and the intensity of the Premier League. We will have a close eye on him. We want to enjoy him for a longer period, not just for one game."

On how he see's the transfer window as a whole: "Real clear idea on all the signings, a young squad in general. Young with huge potential. It's a brave way, but the way we want to go in Newcastle, we are fully committed to working with the lads."

Bournemouth

On opponents Newcastle and their boss Matthias Jaissle, Marco Rose said: "He and me were several years in the system of Red Bull. Everyone knows how we work. You can see it.

"He is a good coach, he has an idea of football. He brought the idea really quick into the Newcastle team.

"They are in a good spot, in a good shape. They are playing quite intense. They have clear patterns."

Bournemouth

On keeping hold of his best players, such as Alex Scott and Junior Kroupi, Bournemouth boss Marco Rose said: "As a manager it's big thanks to our owner. It's a good sign to everyone. Even the lads maybe tried to take another chance, they recognised it's a good idea to stay here and have one more year."

Newcastle United

It's been a busy summer for new manager Matthias Jaissle who has taken Newcastle to sixth in the table after two games.

They started the season with a 2-2 draw against Liverpool and followed it up with a 2-0 win over Tottenham.

The Magpies sold Sandro Tonali to Spurs for £100m, Bruno Guimaraes to Arsenal for £75m and Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for £69m, but have brought in plenty of reinforcements.

Then, on deadline day, Matias Fernandez-Pardo joined from Lille as towering club-record signing Nick Woltemade finalised a loan move to Juventus, having only joined the club last summer.

Newcastle United

Newcastle head coach Matthias Jaissle on the club's deadline-day deal for 21-year-old striker Matias Fernandez-Pardo.

He says he has the physical level that fits with Newcastle's style of play, adding blistering pace to the forward line, which also includes Anthony Elanga and Yoanne Wissa.

Crystal Palace

A final word from Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage on Saturday's opponents Fulham: "Football has no memory of what happened before, it can always be a challenge, there's a lot of new players and coaches on both sides. I'm really happy to play against them because we need a reference game for the moment."

On facing Gonzalo Garcia at Fulham: "We cannot only take on one player in preparation for a game. We need to come up with the best plan for the team, it's only a plan. We will try to do it. We tried to do it in our two previous games [defeats at Everton and at home to Manchester City]. The game plan is the most important thing."

Crystal Palace

Pierre Sage on Crystal Palace signings, starting with Quinten Timber: "We need this kind of player because we have four players in this department but they are a bit similar, we need one with more legs. We need to be box to box"

On Dario Osorio: "We need a player with speed in this position and able to shoot from far. He scored a lot of goals like this."

On Ben Chilwell: "He knows the club and the city and I know him. I like the player, I like the guy. He will give us experience, a really good player who can play in two positions, centre back and wing back. He will give us a lot of confidence because he is a happy guy."

Crystal Palace

Pierre Sage on whether he is happy with Crystal Palace's transfer deadline day business: "Yes, especially at the end, we were waiting on some players and they came at the end. We missed one, but it happens."

On waiting until the last moment to sign players: "I don't really know, it's about the opposition and opportunities. We did what we decided to do."

On Palace's Ismaila Sarr being assessed again in January after being strongly linked with a move to Liverpool: "I don't think so. It is difficult to move teams when you are in this position.

"I just want to say that the club and the people are respectful, we just want the best for our club and our players."

Ipswich Town

A final word from Ipswich Town boss Gary O'Neil on his mentality after the 5-2 defeat at Old Trafford: "I will be bullish and confident going into every game. If I'm not then I shouldn't be sat here. I feel the same after United as I did after Sunderland; ready to go again.

"It is important to separate the games clearly. The Premier League is assessed over 38 games. The questions asked of you against Man United are very different to those asked against Liverpool.

"We have the game, de-brief, then it's gone - move on. Same if it's a win, like Sunderland, or a defeat like at Old Trafford."

On the transfer window closing: "It's good to do so much work, but there's enough to do preparing for games.

"I need to teach a team new methods, help with recruitment, and prepare for Premier League games. It is good that recruitment takes a back seat until January."
