This has been a patient, disciplined display from Hibernian so far.

They took advantage of an unexpected penalty and have been solid at the back.

Rangers have not looked overly threatening but that's not the visitors' problem.

So far, so good for David Gray's men.

At the moment, if there is to be a winner in this one, it looks like Falkirk.

Ethan Ross has looked bright and plays a lovely ball into the box which goalkeeper Alex Paulsen has to collect to prevent a Falkirk player getting to it.

That should be a consolation for Dundee United. Hearts gave the ball away in midfield, allowing Zac Sapsford to be slipped into the box.

He was unselfish and squared for Idjessi Metsoko but the Frenchman could not stretch enough to get a touch to the ball.

Meanwhile, Hearts have replaced Claudio Braga with James Wilson, who makes his first appearance under Wouter Vrancken.

Vanja Dragojevic has a pop from about 30 yards out. He's got right behind it too.

It fades wide but he is clearly someone who likes a crack at goal.

This on the day a multi-million pound bid for the player was rejected by Rangers.

It's not going well for the home side as things stand - they'll need to up their game after the break if they can't find a leveller in the last five minutes of the first half.

It creeps narrowly over the bar, to Rangers' relief and Hibs' dismay.

He was chasing down Salligner's save and has injured himself as he slid off the park, down towards the advertising boards.

Worringly, he needs the stretcher.

Ryan Naderi is on to replace him.

Much more in a creative sense will be the demand from Derek McInnes, I fancy.

His team has had plenty of the ball, as you'd expect them to at Ibrox but they've only really properly tested the Hibs' rearguard once in the opening half-hour.

New Japanese signing Daisuke Yokota is quick and has a good change of direction. Very left-footed but has created a couple of chances already.

Youssef Chermiti takes a sore one, off the field, after trying to keep the ball in.

It's all happening with 10 minutes of the first half left - Rangers claim for a penalty that isn't coming.

Motherwell finally break after a sustained spell of Falkirk pressure as Alex Lowry finds John Kourtoumbis on the right but he too fires his shot over the crossbar.

Daisuke Yokota look lively so far. A glimmer of hope for the home fans.

He twists are turns past Adam Mayor and wins a corner for his side.

It is soon flicked clear before Tuur Rommens's 25-yard volley is palmed clear by Raphael Sallinger. That was some hit.

A Youssef Chermiti cross is overhit and flies out for a goal kick.

Rangers are enjoying the bulk of the posession - 77% - but failing to do much with it when they break into the final third.

Hearts are threatening a fifth now. Blair Spittal is played in by a brilliant flick from Pierre Landry Kabore and the captain looks for Claudio Braga in the middle but a Dundee United defender slides back to put behind for a corner.

Lukas Fadinger is in the book for a poor challenge on Paul McGovern and Falkirk have a free-kick halfway inside the Motherwell half.

No-one can connect with the delivery towards the back post.

There's a few more changes for Motherwell as well. Regan Charles-Cook and Ewan Wilson are introduced, Emmanuel Longelo and Willy Vogt make way.

A couple more changes now. Rogers Mato is coming on for Hearts - his first appearance of the season - alongside right-back Christian Borchgrevink.

Josh McPake is replaced and, on his first Hearts start, he gets a standing ovation off the pitch. Jordi Altena is the other man off.

Dundee United also make a double swap. Panutche Camara and Neil Farrugia are on, Jesse Randall and Vicko Sevelj are off.

Excellent defensive work from Jake Girdwood-Reich as he turns Craig Sibbald's cross behind for a Falkirk corner.

They cannot fashion a chance from the resulting set piece and Motherwell win possession back.

Better from Rangers but Hibs hold out for the moment.

Winger Daisuke Yokota dances down the line and pulls it back for Chermitti to sweep goalward from roughly eight yards out.

It is excetional defensive awareness from Kanayo Megwa to block the shot.

Findlay Curtis is Rangers' main attacking threat at the moment.
