Half a dozen changes from the home manager as Derek McInnes looks forward to his first competitive match at Ibrox in charge of Rangers.

A first start for Vanja Dragojevic, likely at right-back. A debut for Olwethu Makhanya at centre-back. Cammy Devlin and Nico Raskin anchoring the midfield.

Hibs have won two of their previous four visits to Ibrox, which is filling up nicely. Can the visitors prolong McInnes' wait for his first win as Rangers boss?

Hibs head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "Obviosuly, made changes today because we've picked the same team for the last three games so we were always going to require freshness to go Thursday-Sunday.

"Martin Boyle has been feeling an Achilles tendon issues that we've been managing so he was never going to be able to make the quick turnaround for this one, but he should be fine for Thursday.

"It's just a precaution and gives others an opportunity too.

"You need to come here and believe you can win.

"It's going to be a real tough test, it's Derek McInnes' first home game and it will be a brilliant atmosphere, and a great test for the players."

A tale of two quarters, if such a thing can exist.

Hearts were brilliant in the first 20 or so minutes of this one, scoring twice with a screamer from Tom Renaud and a spot-kick from Calvin Miller.

They even hit the post through Claudio Braga in search of a third.

But, they allowed Dundee United into it and Dylan Tait started to pull the strings in midfield. While Beau Reus has not had a notable save to make, Renaud did have to head a Lachlan Rose effort off the line.

On today's game, which is Rangers manager Derek McInnes' first in charge of the side at Ibrox for a competitive fixture, he adds: "Yeah, obviously we had a couple of friendly games here, but the first real competitive game.

"We've had a tough start, there's no two ways about it, away at Tannadice and away in Poland, performances have been scratchy at best, to be honest.

"We've had some good moments in both games but also some stuff that clearly isn't going to get the job done here. We're working towards trying to get better performances.

"I don't think we're going to get perfect at this stage of the season. We've got to try and be good enough to win games as we work towards that and today is another opportunity to do it.

"Being at home, we've got three games at home now, it's important to try and capitalise on that. No point in having 50,000 if you're not going to use it to your advantage and the 50,000 need to see the team confident, aggressive, positive with what we're trying to do. And hopefully it's a step towards seeing a Rangers team that we want more often than not."

And that will be the last opportunity of the half.

A pretty even contest for much of the opening 45 minutes in Motherwell, the hosts have probably had the better of the chances and edged it slightly.

Still, after the start to the season Falkirk have had they'll be pleased to still be in the contest.

Tom Sparrow heads the ball down for Tawanda Maswanhise inside the Falkirk box but the Motherwell striker cannot get a good connection and smashes his volley wide.

Rangers manager Derek McInnes says the club's valuation of striker Youssef Chermiti has not been met as he confirms the club have rejected a bid for the forward.

"I'm led to believe the club's valuation of the player hasn't been met," McInnes told BBC Scotland.

"So, from our point of view, like everything else, when you get clubs looking at your players, it's business as you were.

"So, you know, and it's no surprise that he's a player who's got a big tag on him and he's got high potential but thankfully he's our player and that will continue to be the case.

"We're trying to build a team here at the minute and we're trying to still bring additions to the team that helps us add to the good players that we've got, including Youssef.

"So, it's not something we would encourage at any point and as I say obviously news has broken today but we're just trying to concentrate on the game today."

Falkirk's Finn Yeats seems to have hurt himself and is down getting some treatment while the players get some instructions from their respective managers.

Dundee United come close again! A long free-kick is nodded back into the middle where Lachlan Rose meets it, but Tom Renaud is back there to nod off his own line.

Jim Goodwin's visitors are not out of this by any means.

Amadou Ba-Sy fancies a go from distance, trying to out-do his countryman Tom Renaud, but his pop is saved well by Jack Walton.
