Will Lankshear scored a fine goal on his Boro debut against Wrexham last week.

The former Tottenham striker has barely had a touch so far this afternoon.

    So far.

  2. 'Boro need to clear their heads'published at 15:27 BST 15 August

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Lincoln

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Radio Tees

Middlesbrough need to clear their heads and find a way of playing the way they are capable of.

It's been stop start so far.

Lincoln City are a hardworking side.

  3. goal

GOAL: Stoke 1-1 Swanseapublished at 15:26 BST 15 August

    Joseph Opoku (22 mins)

Zan Vipotnik can't get the ball in the net as it's flashed in front of goal but no matter.

It deflects off him and into the path of Joseph Opoku, who fires. It catches the keepers legs but has enough power to travel through and find the net.

Lovely stuff to bring the Swans level.

  4. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:25 BST 15 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Millwall

Pretty much every man in a navy blue shirt is up in arms claiming for a penalty.

Rob Atkinson leans on a nod down in his own box for Bristol City to chest it back to goalkeeper Sam Tickle and Millwall are convinced it struck an arm.

Referee Lewis Smith doesn't think so.

  5. Postpublished at 15:24 BST 15 August

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Lincoln

Lincoln are not giving Middlesbrough a moment's peace and the home side are struggling to get out just now.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:24 BST 15 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Millwall

Bristol City have grown into the game since a strong start by Millwall.

It's very much a hard-fought contest so far and now Adam Randell is into the book for the Robins after hacking down Lions debutant Tairyk Arconte.

  7. goal

GOAL: Charlton 0-1 Derbypublished at 15:24 BST 15 August

    Sam Szmodics (23 mins)

That's more like it from the Ipswich Town loanee.

Carlton Morris' touch is excellent and sets up Sam Szmodics perfectly to thrash a super strike into the back of the net. Clinical.

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Lincoln

Middlesbrough's season tailed off last time out before the crazy play-off campaign, where they were beaten by Southampton in their semi-final but reinstated after the spygate affair.

The home side have their first attempt on target but Adilson Malanda's header is straight at George Wickens in the Lincoln goal.

Charlton started this game well but Derby have found their footing now.

The ball is cut back to Sammie Szmodics in the box and he gets his laces on it but can't generate the power to see it nestle into Addicks stopper Will Mannion's gloves.

  10. Postpublished at 15:20 BST 15 August

    Norwich 0-0 West Brom

Kellen Fisher cuts inside on his left foot and has a crack from the right edge of the area for Norwich.

It's low and hard towards the near post but Max O'Leary makes a solid save down to his left in the West Brom goal.

  11. 'Draper causing Boro defence problems'published at 15:19 BST 15 August

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Lincoln

    Mark Drury
    BBC Radio Tees commentator

Freddie Draper is making life tough for the Boro backline.

Lincoln are dominating proceedings at the moment.

  12. Postpublished at 15:19 BST 15 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Millwall

New rules being very much imposed by referee Lewis Smith at Ashton Gate. He overturns a Millwall throw after the Lions take too long. Smith then overturns the Bristol City throw to return it back in the favour of the away side.

When it eventually comes in from Millwall, they can't make anything of it.

    That was bizarre.

  13. Postpublished at 15:16 BST 15 August

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Lincoln

Boro win a free-kick down their left right on the edge of the penalty area.

Leo Castledine tries to give the keeper the eyes and beat him at his near post but a Lincoln defender heads it away.

The home side stay on the attack though.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:16 BST 15 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Millwall

Millwall striker Josh Coburn is absolutely furious.

He races into the area and takes it round Bristol City goalkeeper Sam Tickle before going to ground.

Coburn screams for a penalty but the ref instead books Coburn for simulation.

  15. goal

GOAL: Portsmouth 1-0 QPRpublished at 15:16 BST 15 August

    Terry Devlin (15 mins)

The header away from the original cross into the box is decent from QPR but they allow Portsmouth time on the second ball.

It's sent to Terry Devlin just outside the box and he strikes it clean as a whistle into the net. Nothing new R's keeper Pierce Charles could have done about that.

Adam Reach side-foots it in. As soon as it comes to him you thought he's going to finish it.

Lincoln are picking up where they left off.

They're defending well and they have something to bite on now.

They've been the better side so far.

  17. Postpublished at 15:14 BST 15 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Millwall

First time we've seen the new rules implemented in the Championship.

Lukas Jensen takes too long over a Millwall goal-kick and the ref then awards a corner for Bristol City.

The Lions are able to deal with the couple of corners in quick succession that follow though.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:13 BST 15 August

    Bristol City 0-0 Millwall

The best move of the game so far for Bristol City and almost a goal on debut for Dom Ballard.

Two debutants combine as Lorent Tolaj flicks it on for Ballard, who then cuts inside and curls just wide of the far post with his left foot.

  19. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 0-1 Lincolnpublished at 15:12 BST 15 August

    Adam Reach (13 mins)

    DREAMLAND!

Lincoln City's first game in the second tier in 65 years has started with a BANG.

The Imps get the ball forward down their right and Tendayi Darikwa sends a good low cross into the area that Adam Reach guides into the bottom corner with real class.

Brilliant finish from the former Boro man.

  20. goal

GOAL: Stoke 1-0 Swanseapublished at 15:11 BST 15 August

    Eric Bocat (10 mins)

    Doors open.

Stoke have Swansea on the backfoot and when the ball reaches Eric Bocat, he turns with the ball, cuts it across to his left foot and looses off an absolute beauty.

What a start for Stoke City! The Bet365 is bouncing.
