Alex Neil has made just one change for Millwall from their EFL Cup penalty shootout win at QPR as Tairyk Arconte starts for his league debut in place of Luke Cundle, who is among the subs. Jenson Metcalfe also makes his first league start for the Lions.

Things don't get much bigger for Lincoln City unless you go another level.

A huge, huge moment.

A game between two teams who started the season with Cup defeats by Championship opposition last week.

The R's fell to a 2-0 penalty shootout loss to Millwall after Lions goalkeeper Lukas Jensen saved all four of their efforts, while Pompey went down 3-1 at promotion favourites West Ham.

The hosts have a good recent record in their opening league game of the season, having not lost any of their past six, while the away side haven't won any of their past five first league games of the season.

Abu Kamara comes straight into the Portsmouth starting XI after completing his return to the club from Hull City this week, while Kwame Poku comes in for the injured Nicolas Madsen in midfield for QPR.

There's no doubt about what Middlesbrough's aim for this season is.

Last season's beaten play-off finalists will expect to be at the sharp end of the Championship once more.

To that end, Boro have been active in the transfer window and brought in Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vitek and defender Ashley Phillips and striker Will Lankshear from Tottenham for big fees after they had good loans at this level with Bristol City, Stoke and Oxford respectively last time around.

Vitek and Lankshear both start, as does USA international Sebastian Berhalter and former Hull forward Kyle Joseph who also joined this summer.

For Lincoln and their legion of fans who have made the trip to Teesside today, this is almost totally unchartered territory.

This is their first game in the second tier of English football since the 1960-61 season which, as it goes, was also the last time they faced Boro in a competitive match.

Boss Michael Skubala left for Bristol City after guiding the Imps to the League One title with a whopping 103 points but coaches Chris Cohen and Tom Shaw will hope to build on their strong start as joint managers after beating Derby in the EFL Cup last week.
