The news keeps coming from the SFA, with the governing body closing in on the appointment of a new head coach to succeed Steve Clarke.
The search for Clarke's replacement is being led by chief executive Ian Maxwell and Craig Mulholland, who was appointed as the SFA's chief football officer in May.
It is understood Maxwell and Mulholland have spoken to a wide range of candidates from the UK and beyond.
Interviews have been conducted and the SFA is nearing an appointment. It is unclear whether the incoming head coach will be a Scot or foreigner.

If you tune in to Sportsound, much of the discussion for the first hour will be about our exclusive story from last night, with the Scottish FA poised to hold a "critically important" summit around the future of the national game.
All Scottish Professional Football League clubs have been invited to attend the 4 September meeting to "discuss opportunities" around improving the amount of homegrown talent.
Andy Halliday and former Scotland trio Willie Miller, Michael Stewart and Steven Thompson will be joining host Kenny Macintyre.
