  1. goal

GOAL Dunfermline Athletic 1-1 AYR UNITEDpublished at 15:47 BST 8 August

    Luke McBeth

Luke McBeth equalises for Ayr on the stroke of half-time somewhat against the run of play.

  2. Postpublished at 15:46 BST 8 August

    St Mirren 0-0 St Johnstone

Both teams really are knocking it about nicely, until it gets into the final third. That is where it has fallen apart for both sides.

St Johnstone are particularly guilty, they've had just one shot and it's xG was merely 0.01 - as low as it gets.

  3. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 15:46 BST 8 August

    Dundee 1-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen's Lewis Mayo was cautioned earlier for a foul on Simon Murray and Dundee scorer Joe Westley has joined him in the book after an off the ball incident.

  4. goal

GOAL Queen of the South 0-1 PETERHEADpublished at 15:46 BST 8 August

    Cammy Smith

  5. Postpublished at 15:44 BST 8 August

    St Mirren 0-0 St Johnstone

A slight pause in play as the linesman on the near side - who has a mullet! - has to do his laces up.

    I've never seen that before.

  6. Singing Dons bluespublished at 15:42 BST 8 August

    Dundee 1-0 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller
Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Sportsound

There's not a white shirt getting close to a dark blue shirt in the game, anywhere on the park.

  7. goal

GOAL Queen's Park 0-1 RAITH ROVERSpublished at 15:42 BST 8 August

    Charlie Telfer

  8. One big chance in game of fewpublished at 15:41 BST 8 August

    St Mirren 0-0 St Johnstone

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at SMISA Stadium

Both sides really are trying to play decent football and at times are showing flashes of it, but a combination of windy conditions and fairly evenly matched opponents is limiting that.

Samuel Ramos' powerful header perhaps should have counted given he was close to goal, but he was unlucky all the same.

It may be first goal the winner at this rate.

  9. goal

GOAL Elgin City 1-1 FORFAR ATHLETICpublished at 15:41 BST 8 August

    Scott Shepherd

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:40 BST 8 August

    Dundee 1-0 Aberdeen

This time Joe Bevan hits the target and Aberdeen goalkeeper Marius Muller is equal to it.

The Dundee winger cut in from the right and attempted to bend a shot into the far corner.

  11. goal

GOAL ROSS COUNTY 1-0 Montrose 0published at 15:40 BST 8 August

    Lewis Strapp

  12. 'Alarming from Aberdeen'published at 15:39 BST 8 August

    Dundee 1-0 Aberdeen

    Michael Stewart
Former Hearts & Hibs midfielder on BBC Scotland

Simple. Very effective. Dundee are slicing through this Aberdeen defence at will.

It is alarming from Aberdeen but very, very good from Dundee.

Aberdeen cannot get to grips with it. Dundee are pulling Aberdeen around all over the place.

  13. Dark Blues going over the toppublished at 15:38 BST 8 August

    Dundee 1-0 Aberdeen

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Dens Park

The long ball over the top on to Dundee's pace men is causing Aberdeen all sorts of bother to put it mildly.

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:37 BST 8 August

    Dundee 1-0 Aberdeen

Was it a cross, was it a shot? Should it have been a goal?

Joe Bevan, who has tormented Aberdeen so far today, gets in behind the visiting defence deep inside the penalty area and slips the ball across the face of goal.

Strike partner Joe Westley was waiting in the middle.

One way or another, that was a big chance.

  15. Postpublished at 15:36 BST 8 August

    Dundee 1-0 Aberdeen

    Chance for Aberdeen.

Stuart Armstrong's corner is headed towards goal by defender Dan Happe, forcing goalkeeper Owen Goodman to make a save.

Dundee scramble clear and Armstrong gets another delivery in towards Happe, but this one does not threaten the Dundee goal.

  16. goal

GOAL KELTY HEARTS 2-0 Stirling Albionpublished at 15:34 BST 8 August

    Ryan Shanley

  17. goal

GOAL HAMILTON ACADEMICAL 1-0 Alloa Athleticpublished at 15:33 BST 8 August

    Cameron Blues

  18. YELLOW CARD Carr (St Mirren)published at 15:33 BST 8 August

    St Mirren 0-0 St Johnstone

Ryan Carr is the second St Mirren player in the book. He scythes down a St Johnstone player in a similar fashion to Marcus Fraser, who was cautioned early on.

Both sides are really trying to play attractive football, but they're mixing it with plenty of aggression.

  19. Postpublished at 15:32 BST 8 August

    Dundee 1-0 Aberdeen

Kevin Nisbet is Aberdeen's captain these days and he comes deep to try and get his team going with some much-needed composure.

Sadly for the striker, his team-mates are not inspired to show the same quality as the move fizzles out with a mis-hit cross by Chris Cadden.

  20. Postpublished at 15:31 BST 8 August

    St Mirren 0-0 St Johnstone

    How's that not gone in?

St Mirren look certain to take the lead as Samuel Ramos leaps like a salmon and powers a header at goal from only six yards out, but Toby Steward makes a brilliant save to turn it on to the crossbar.

As the ball loops up and down back to the goalline, Zach Mitchell heads off the line before Saints clear among a clutch of bodies.
