    Gent 0-0 Hibernian

Raphael Sallinger is forced into action as Gent's header to the back post is nodded back over the keeper by Christian Burgess, but the Austrian is able to get a hand to it before it's headed behind.

The Belgians are continuing the same pressure they put Hibs under in the first half.

    HT: Rangers 0-0 Jablonec

    Andy Halliday
Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Rangers just need an individual moment of brilliance because I don't think a goal is coming through design.

It's been a really, really touch watch. It's been the poorest 45 minutes of football I've watched this season.

I have been watching Rangers for over 60 years and this is the worst team I have ever seen.

  4. Postpublished at 20:43 BST 20 August

    Motherwell 1-1 Freiburg

Alex Paulsen dribbles the ball out past the edge of the box and gets away with it.

Despite Freiburg's dominance, Motherwell continue to play it out from the back without any fear.

More power to them, it's great to watch.

  5. Rangers 'hard to watch'published at 20:41 BST 20 August

    HT: Rangers 0-0 Jablonec

    Tom English
    BBC Scotland's chief sports writer

It's huff and puff, there's no discernible pattern to Rangers it's more just hoping that something happens rather than really being clever and pulling Jablonec this way and that and creating space.

It's easy for the visitors at the moment. Yes they're soaking up a lot of pressure but Rangers aren't exactly tormenting their goalkeeper.

It's hard to watch, it's dreadful stuff.

Hibs need to be better in midfield. We need Wright and or McGrath to add a bit of steel and more creative to get us forward. We have not created any real opportunities since the penalty.

  7. Motherwell send for the debut boypublished at 20:37 BST 20 August

    Motherwell 1-1 Freiburg

    Kheredine Idessane
BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park

New signing Seb Palmer-Houlden replaces goal hero Regan Charles-Cook at the start of the second half for Motherwell.

A quick debut for the former Gillingham striker, who had a spell on loan with Dundee the season before last.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:37 BST 20 August

Away we go again at Fir Park.

This performance from Rangers is slow, predictable, lazy, pedestrian, lacks energy, and offers very little hope for the future. Why have we signed Shankland if not to play? Naderi is as much use as Chermiti, Fernandez spending more time waving his arms around instead of actually playing, this is abysmal from Rangers.

  10. Half-time boos at Ibroxpublished at 20:35 BST 20 August

    HT: Rangers 0-0 Jablonec

    Jane Lewis
    BBC Sport Scotland at Ibrox

The Rangers fans demonstrate their frustration at half-time, with some boos ringing out as the players walk off to the dressing room.

No doubt Derek McInnes will be feeling that frustration too.

He will be looking for so much more from his players in the second half. They've been pretty poor with Djeidi Gasama really the only player showing any real intent.

Will be interesting to see if the Rangers boss makes any early changes. He'll be desperate to get something out of this match ahead of the second leg.

  11. HALF-TIME Rangers 0-0 Jablonecpublished at 20:34 BST 20 August

And there's the half-time whistle to bring an end to a goalless first half in Govan.

Rangers had the better chance when Vanja Dragojevic hit the woodwork but that was about it for Derek McInnes' side.

    Big second half coming up.

  12. HALF-TIME - Hearts 0-1 Rapid Viennapublished at 20:34 BST 20 August

Serge-Philippe Raux-Yao's powerful header is the difference at the break. It was a well-worked corner routine by Rapid, which Hearts will be frustrated at not defending properly.

The Austrians have had the two best chances apart from the goal, too, with Beau Reus making two fantastic saves.

Hearts have not been poor. Josh McPake in particular has been a real threat on the left and put in some good balls.

But they need a bit more from everyone if they're to get back into this.

Rapid Vienna's Serge-Philippe Raux-Yao scores to make it 1-0 during a UEFA Conference League Playoff Round First Leg match between Heart of Midlothian and Rapid Vienna, at Tynecastle Park, on August 20, 2026, in Edinburgh,Image source, SNS
  13. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:34 BST 20 August

    Gent 0-0 Hibernian

We're back under way, after a false start, in Belgium.

No changes at the break for either side.

  14. Postpublished at 20:33 BST 20 August

    Rangers 0-0 Jablonec

Olwethu Makhanya tries to shield the ball out for a goal-kick but, under pressure from Lamin Jawo, puts it behind for a Jablonec corner in first half-stoppage time.

The ball eventually falls to Jawo who's only a few yards out from goal but he puts the ball inexplicably wide before the offside flag goes up to spare his blushes.

As an aside, Hearts head coach Wouter Vrancken is wearing jeans this evening.

What do we think about that? Hit those thumbs.

  17. Postpublished at 20:26 BST 20 August

    Hearts 0-1 Rapid Vienna

Now Claudio Braga drives a low shot past the far post. The goalkeeper had it covered anyway, I think.

Hearts have been bright at times but have been restricted to long-range efforts.

  18. Postpublished at 20:25 BST 20 August

    Rangers 0-0 Jablonec

A nice passage of play from the hosts who work the ball out to Dujon Sterling high up on the right. He lofts his cross towards the back post but Jablonec deal with it well.

Rangers have been better but haven't caused the visitors any real problems.

  19. Postpublished at 20:24 BST 20 August

    Hearts 0-1 Rapid Vienna

    Decent response from Hearts.

Jamie McCart surges forward from left-back, and gives the ball to Josh McPake.

The winger wriggles through a gap and let's fly...but its a comfortable save for the Rapid goalkeeper at his near post.

  20. Postpublished at 20:22 BST 20 August

    Rangers 0-0 Jablonec

    Steven Thompson
Former Rangers striker on BBC Sportsound

Jablonec are nowhere near as good as Jagiellonia.

Rangers need to really up their game.
