There has been a bit of a revival here from the visitors.

A handful of boundaries have got the crowd going once more and the golden lion of Sri Lanka can be seen flying round Sophia Gardens once more.

  2. SL 136-5published at 16.3 overs

Here's Sonny Baker, back for the first time since the powerplay.

Wanindu Hasaranga knocks a shot to Liam Dawson at mid-off and sets off - the England fielder throws at the non-striker's end with one stump to aim at and had he struck the wicket then the Sri Lanka batter would have been well short.

    That wasn't so far away...

  3. SL 133-5published at 16 overs

Four more for Wanindu Hasaranga, following up his six with a four straight hard down the ground off Liam Dawson.

18 runs off that over, with Dawson finishing with figures of 3-32.

Meanwhile this partnership is now worth 38.

That is a phenomenally good shot into the wind by Hasaranga.

  5. 6 runs

    SL 126-5published at 15.3 overs

    Some acceleration from Sri Lanka!

Charith Asalanka finds four between two fielders on the square leg ropes before Wanindu Hasaranga hustles down the pitch and lifts Liam Dawson's ball over extra cover for six.

England have just found ways to keep the pressure building. They have used the wicket and the big square boundaries. The spinners have missed short when they have had to.

  7. SL 115-5published at 15 overs

Nicely done from Wanindu Hasaranga, using some width and bounce from Jofra Archer to lift the ball over the backward point fielder and pick up four.

He adds two more in the covers, with the Sri Lanka batters then exchanging singles to end the over.

  8. SL 107-5published at 14 overs

Five and singles and a wide off Adil Rashid's second over.

Having reached 56-0 after 5.2 overs, Sri Lanka still haven't doubled that score.

  9. How's stat?!published at 19:31 BST 17 September

Jamie Overton has taken 20 wickets in the middle overs in all T20s this year at an average of 19.4 with an economy of 7.68.

  10. SL 101-5published at 13 overs

    Out to Aneurin Donald again!

Charith Asalanka hacks the ball towards backward square and the England fielder runs forward for another catch attempt.

It wasn't on and the ball bounces past the diving fielder for four.

A further single sees Sri Lanka reach 100, while Jamie Overton finishes with figures of 2-23 having bowled four overs in a row.

  11. SL 95-5published at 12 overs

Wanindu Hasaranga is the next batter in for Sri Lanka.

He fails to get off the mark from the last two balls of Liam Dawson's over.

    Practice makes perfect.

Moments after dropping a difficult catch at deep mid-wicket, the Swansea boy then makes no mistake as Shanaka departs for four.

The crowd loved that one from the Welshman.

Shanaka is generally good using the long levers. Dawson has been bowling it away from him, not allowing him to do what he likes.

    Shanaka c Donald b Dawson 4 (95-5)

    Pouched this time!

A lot more air on this shot from Dasun Shanaka and Aneurin Donald has plenty of time to get under the ball from deep square leg and take the catch.

I think Donald slightly misjudged it. He thought it was coming to him but then realised it was dipping.

  16. dropped catch

Shanaka dropped on onepublished at 11.1 overs

    SL 93-4

That would have been pretty spectacular.

Dasun Shanaka hits Liam Dawson in the air out into the leg side.

Aneurin Donald runs in from the ropes at mid-wicket and dives forward to try and take the catch, but can't quite hold on.

Shanaka runs two to move to three.

  17. SL 91-4published at 11 overs

Dasun Shanaka faces a wide for his first delivery, then gets off the mark with a single to mid-wicket.

    Russel Arnold

The ball just kept coming in on the angle. He would have seen the width but it kept following him. Sri Lanka are unable to build some momentum. The wickets keep falling.

England know they can just keep chipping away.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 10.4 overs

    Mendis b Overton 12 (SL 89-4)

A second wicket for Jamie Overton as Kamindu Mendis chops onto his stumps!

The left-hander had just cut a wide-ish delivery from the seamer for four, but now departs having attempted a similar sort of shot.

Having reached 56 without loss, Sri Lanka have lost four wickets for 33 runs.

  20. SL 84-3published at 10 overs

Nicely done from new batter Kamindu Mendis.

He reverse sweeps Adil Rashid, bowling his first over, for four behind the keeper.

A couple of twos follow down the ground, the first run sharply to beat the throw to Jos Buttler.
