Gloucestershire have got the scoreboard ticking again at last, with Ollie Price picking up a couple through point off Matthew Potts.

Price has registered all three of his side's runs so far, with Cameron Bancroft yet to score from the 16 deliveries he's faced.

Ben Coad gets a little extra bounce as he angles one in past the off stump but Sheridon Gumbs has nothing to do with it.

Gumbs then gets forward to a ball which moves away and beats the outside edge once again.

If you think about it, this is basically a Test match challenge for Gloucestershire.

Both the opening bowlers are recent England Test bowlers, the first change was England captain until recently, and it's being played at what is technically a Test ground.

There's a fair amount of frustration among spectators here that lunch will be taken at 13:10 BST.

Especially with the time lost in the morning and a poor afternoon forecast due.

Gumbs is then beaten once again, this time by Coad.

Certainly something in the pitch to interest the bowlers.

Yorkshire dug themselves out of a hole on a truncated day two at Scarborough, with the weather allowing just 25 overs.

The hosts recovered from 146-6 to post 263 thanks to 62 from George Hill and a 23-ball half-century stand between him and Ben Cliff (22).

Leicestershire openers Sheridon Gumbs and Rishi Patel made a decent start before rain ended play just 22 balls into their first innings.

We look set to get the morning session in at least before the infernal rain creeps across.

“There was swing, there was nip and the typical Scarborough bounce we always talk about here,” Hill said.

“It took a while to get used to but felt alright towards the end.

“Ben Cliff was awesome and probably outscored me. To get to that 250 was our goal. We spoke about that being around about par.

“With the weather around, it should continue to be helpful for bowling, and with the bowlers we’ve got - five good seamers and a top-class spinner - we’re pretty confident.”
