Lovely thumping pull shot from Tom Helm gets him four more off Kasey Aldridge.

Helm has a bit of recent previous against Durham.

Only last month Helm came in at number nine and helped Luke Hollman add 79 as Middlesex turned around a seemingly-lost cause to beat Durham and reach the One-Day Cup final.

That match will take place at Trent Bridge on 20 September against Leicestershire.

That is a delivery to catch your attention!

Super lifter from Kasey Aldridge to Tom Helm that just about misses bat and face.

Then he goes fuller next ball and strikes the pads. Not out, probably sliding down leg or over the top.

Helm then works one away for a couple through leg.

And Helm follows up with a fine off-drive off the back foot. Four runs.

    Where did that come from?

Kent were just beginning to score more fluently and had run a number of threes because of the slow outfield. Ekansh Singh did then find the rope, but in the same over he has now departed.

This ball from Brett Randell popped up off the surface and got up on the all-rounder, who ends up helping it to Martin Andersson at backward square leg - it is a good catch. Singh is gutted.

Derbyshire need four more wickets for victory and are now into the tail.

Still one slip in for Rahul Chahar, who continues from the Sea End as a chorus of gulls can be heard cooing over the ground.

Plenty of width and Charlie Tear safely shoulders arms.

Tear plays and misses with a forward defensive and the ball fizzes through to keeper Ben Foakes, who whips off the bails.

    Tear was in his crease.

    Another maiden over for Chahar.

Kasey Aldridge replaces Brydon Carse and goes for a short ball to Harry Duke first up.

Duke goes for the hook and middles it - is it down Callum Parkinson's throat at long leg?

No, it's over the ropes for six.

Duke goes for another pull shot off the final ball of the over but knocks it into himself. Luckily, it drops straight to the ground with no damage to ball, bat or wickets.

  19. Hampshire in need of a 'miracle' - Domingopublished at 13:52 BST 11 September

    Russell DomingoImage source, Shutterstock

Hampshire head coach Russell Domingo admits they need a "miracle" to stay up following a 54-run defeat by Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

Division One's bottom club were bowled out for 123 in an extended morning session, chasing a target of 178, as Olly Stone took 6-28 for the home side.

"We have moments in games when we're really quite good but not often enough. We just have to face that and front up," Domingo said.

"At the end now we need a bit of a miracle to stay up so we have to play better cricket. Things can look dark but we can definitely compete again."

Notts moved back into second place with 22 points and Stone said: "We all knew coming in that this week was massive and the way the crowd got behind us was outstanding."

Hampshire must fear losing some of their top young talent with relegation now almost a certainty...who will Surrey come calling for?
