    Sussex 393 v Surrey 300-8

Matt Fisher leaves Ari Karvelas outside the off stump. This feels like a huge moment for Surrey.

Some low bounce in evidence from Karvelas.

Any kind of innings lead could be important here.

A clip to Jack Carson at fine leg brings a single, the innings 300 in the 97th over - and a second batting point.

    Hants 65-6 v Notts - target 178

Olly Stone finds the shoulder of the bat, but there is no danger for Ben Mayes, who adds a single to third man and keeps the strike.

Perhaps he wishes he hadn't after Dillon Pennington produces a nasty delivery which smacks him on the fingers.

Undaunted, Mayes tucks the next one to square leg and collects two.

    Lancashire 124-7 v Glos - target 248

That is a cracker of a bouncer from JT Langridge to Noman Ali.

It clanks into the helmet of the Pakistan tailender, who can't really get out of the way.

The ball lands over the wicketkeeper and the slips and they actually go through for a single, but the physio will come on and give Noman a quick check.

    Hants 62-6 v Notts - target 178

Just the two balls for Fraser Sheat and he is replaced by Olly Stone.

Ben Mayes - just 18 years old - is on strike after picking up a single in the previous over.

    Just two slips in place.

Single to Matt Fisher. James Coles gets one to straighten on Adam Thomas.

Gone! Caught by the other Thomas (George) at short extra cover on the drive.

A good, low catch. Ideal start for Sussex. Nervous times for Surrey.

    Here's Rahul Chahar.

Old news we know but we just had to let you see one more pic of the husky which 'invaded' the outfield during the Leicestershire v Somerset game yesterday.

    Awwww!

  9. Postpublished at 10:34 BST 11 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 298-7

Ari Karvelas draws an edge from Adam Thomas - but he's played that with soft hands and the ball runs away for four.

James Coles to bowl his left arm spin at the other end.

  10. Final day begins at Derbypublished at 10:33 BST 11 September

    Kent 3-0 v Derbys (Target: 434)

We have begun at the County Ground with the three balls which carried over from last night's session - in which 29.3 overs were lost.

Three dots from Jack Morley to Zak Crawley and we now turn to the seam of Ben Aitchison.

Gone from the third ball of the day!

George Balderson gets an absolute beauty from JT Langridge, the perfect line and length from left-armer to left-hander and the edge is well snaffled up at second slip.

    Gloucestershire are up and running.

    Fernandes c Rhodes b Aldridge 3 (Durham v Middlesex 55-3 - target 424)

Kasey Aldridge strikes with the first ball of the day at Chester-le-Street!

    Dream stuff for Durham!!

Aldridge has four balls of his over to finish from yesterday evening, but his first ball of day four is a beauty.

Pitching on or around leg-stump to Nathan Fernandes, it moves across him enough to square him and get an edge where it is well taken at third slip by Will Rhodes.

Only seven more wickets now for Durham.

  13. Postpublished at 10:31 BST 11 September

    Hants 61-6 v Notts - target 178

Fraser Sheat has two balls left to complete an over left unfinished last night when bad light forced the players off at Trent Bridge.

Scott Currie deals with them both and remains 13 not out.

Dillon Pennington will bowl from the other end, looking to add to his 3-18 from seven overs on day three.

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 294-7

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

"If Sussex went in with a lead of 70, they could press the button at some point and set Surrey something."

"But probably the draw is the most likely result."

  15. Final day begins at Hovepublished at 10:30 BST 11 September

    Sussex 393 v Surrey 294-7

Blue sky and light, fluffy clouds over Hove today.

Adam Thomas has shown a lot of promise in his debut first class season and he resumes on 40 not out facing seamer Ari Karvelas first up today.

Three balls left in the over disrupted by bad light last night.

Matt Fisher has been a more than useful number nine and he has an unbeaten 26.

A bit more batting required for Surrey to be safe. Sussex need to strike early.

  16. Play under way on time at Old Traffordpublished at 10:30 BST 11 September

    Lancashire 121-6 v Glos - target 248

Right, JT Langridge has the ball in his hand and the left-armer is going to bowl to Rocky Flintoff.

And a back foot push off the first ball for a single.

  19. Is this the day for Durham (chapter two)?published at 10:25 BST 11 September

    Durham 252 & 384 v Middlesex 203 & 55-2

Graham Clark (left, under a helmet) congratulates Brydon Carse on taking a Middlesex wicketImage source, Getty Images

For those of you with us yesterday, we were surmising about Durham's chances of sealing promotion with a day to spare.

As it was, the weather in Chester-le-Street - a mixture of bad light and rain throughout the afternoon - curtailed any prospects of an early home win.

But with Middlesex chasing a nominal 424 and already 55-2 thanks to two Brydon Carse wickets, Durham will be very confident of getting the job done today.

If they do, Division One cricket is assured. If they draw and Kent lose, that would be fine, too, while if Durham win and Kent lost at Derbyshire, promotion and the Division Two title would be wrapped up on the same day.

  20. Five-wicket haul feels 'weird' for Lumsdenpublished at 10:21 BST 11 September

    Nottinghamshire 377 & 104 v Hampshire 304 & 61-6

    Manny LumsdenImage source, Shutterstock

Teenager Manny Lumsden could have a vital role to play with the bat today after marking his first-class debut by taking 5-36 against title hopefuls Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

Hampshire need another 117 to win after bowling out Notts for just 104, a performance which certainly took Lumsden by surprise.

"Nineteen wickets in a day, I thought you only got that in Test matches! My five-wicket bag hasn't really sunk in yet, it feels a bit weird to be honest," the 17-year-old said.

"It was nice to get some big names among my wickets and nice to play on a pitch with a bit of bounce and carry. It's all going on at a million miles an hour for me, playing in so many forms of cricket this summer and for England U-19s."

Notts need to win to keep pace with Somerset and Warwickshire at the top of the table and batsman Joe Clarke said: "It was a crazy day, we've put ourselves in a good position but there's lots of work to do."
