  1. Long awaited 50 for Bohannonpublished at 14:59 BST 26 September

    Lancashire 137-4 v Durham 493

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Josh Bohannon has worked hard today and is at least ending the season on a high with the bat.

He brings up his 50 in 132 balls, but the knock includes only three fours, which is a sign of how patient he has been against the spin bowling.

It's his first 50 in 18 innings, which is his longest spell without getting there.

  2. 100 runs

    100 partnershippublished at 14:59 BST 26 September

    Glamorgan 505 v Essex 129 & 131-1

Dean Elgar and Tom Westley continue to frustrate the Glamorgan bowlers.

Elgar has moved to 76 not out while Westley has 31, and they bring up a century stand for the second wicket.

There is a punch of gloves between the two batters, still a lot of work for them to do.

  3. 150 runs

150 up for Hampshirepublished at 14:58 BST 26 September

    Hampshire 128 & 150-7 v Sussex 244 & 319-9 dec

Andrew Neal and James Fuller take Hampshire past 150 and are digging in well in what is a fairly forlorn situation for the hosts.

Since being 3-4 after four overs Hampshire were indebted to Nick Gubbins' 51 and Ben Mayes' 47 after the rest of the batting order fell apart early on.

  4. 450 up for Somersetpublished at 14:57 BST 26 September

    Somerset 451-5 v Surrey 422

The lead goes to 29 runs as Somerset bring up their 450 with a cut for four by Archie Vaughan.

    That is his first boundary.

  5. 50 runs

for Josh Bohannonpublished at 14:53 BST 26 September

    Lancs 137-4 v Durham 493

It's been a disappointing season for Josh Bohannon but he reaches 50 off 132 with a single from the leg-spin of Shaf Ghafari.

Matty Hurst also rotates the strike as the Lancashire duo post a 50 partnership.

    Now then....

Mohammad Ali sends down a short ball and Yorkshire's set batter Will Luxton can't resist.

His attempted pull flies off a top edge and flies straight up. Wicketkeeper Mitch Hay calls 'mine' and pouches the steepler.

Four down with 61 needed. Over to you, Jonny Bairstow.

    Ben GibbonImage source, Shutterstock

Ben Gibbon bowls Nick Potts for 29 and Worcestershire finish the season with a fifth victory.

Derbyshire were in danger of not even equalling their paltry first-innings total when they were reduced to 39-6, having been set a target of 333, with Ben Allison taking five of those wickets.

He bowled Luis Reece (49) to return figures of 6-42 and 11-64 in the match before leaving it to Gibbon to clean up the tail.

The last three Derbyshire wickets go down in the space of 16 balls as they end the campaign with a third defeat.

    Kent 353 v Glos 229 & 207-8

Applause breaks out around the St Lawrence Ground as news of Northamptonshire's defeat by Middlesex breaks, meaning Kent will play in Division One next year.

No let-up for the players, though, and Matt Taylor a ball from Khaled Ahmed past mid-off and adds three runs.

    Mayes st Simpson b Carson 47 (Hampshire 128 & 125-7 v Sussex 244 & 319-9 dec)

Ben Mayes had the attitude of if we're going down I'm going down fighting and his punchy 47 from 53 balls ends with a stumping from Sussex wicketkeeper John Simpson.

Mayes, three from a half-century, came down the pitch to put a Jack Carson ball away but ends up swinging at thin air and is a mile out of his crease when the bails are whipped off.

It feels like this might not last too much longer.

  10. MIDDLESEX WIN BY 7 WICKETS AND KENT PROMOTEDpublished at 14:44 BST 26 September
    Breaking

    Middx 134-3 v Northants - target 134

Ben Geddes takes a four off Yuzi Chahal and then picks up a couple more off the next ball to wrap up a Middlesex win midway through day three.

But the headlines friom this result are what it means to their opponents.

Northants needed a win to ensure Kent had to match them to clinch promotion, but they have fallen short at Lord's.

For the record, Geddes saw his side home unbeaten on 59.

His record-breaking partner may have departed, but Tom Abell is showing no signs of relenting in his quest for runs.

He goes to his 150 with a little nudged single.

Abell is within seven runs of beating his previous best in the first class game.

Warwickshire win by an innings and 79 runs

What a way to finish it for Ethan Bamber - his 69th wicket of a memorable season. No better man to have claimed that honour.

And that completed Warwickshire’s well-timed charge to a ninth County Championship title which really did not look at all likely back in late March.

Al Davies quit as captain just a fortnight before the start of the new season, to be replaced as skipper by the Bears’ one-day leader Ed Barnard.

They suffered their only defeat against Sussex at Hove, winning only twice in the opening eight-match tranche of fixtures up until mid-June. But what a different story it has been since the resumption . . . five wins in six games.

And, most crucially, three of them all on the same road trip. Hampshire, Glamorgan and Essex all disposed of in quick succession, the last two of them both taking just two days.

Spearheaded by Bamber and the ageless Chris Woakes, backed up by Oliver Hannon-Dalby and skipper Barnard, and with India spinner Manav Suthar chipping in, the bowlers have turned up when it mattered most. Another proud moment for Bears bowling coach Graeme Welch.

But runs have been key too – and Sam Hain's 1,048 haul has been arguably just as crucial, backed up by Rob Yates (740) and inspirational skipper Barnard (679) and Dan Mousley (6640

Leicestershire, for all their off-field woes, proved stiffer opposition than expected – to the extent of their last pair taking the game into an eighth session. But this was another great day to be a Bear.

    Wharton lbw b Patterson-White 4 (Notts v Yorks 91-3 - target 158)

    Too little, too late?

James Wharton has struggled to get going out there and falls to his 40th ball for just four.

His defensive push misses a Liam Patterson-White delivery which does little but finds the pad in front of middle and leg.

Matthew Revis joins Will Luxton. Yorkshire need 67 more.

  16. 50 runs

50 for Will Luxtonpublished at 14:36 BST 26 September

    Notts v Yorks 91-2 - target 158

Will Luxton again plays through the offside and a misfield allows him to come back for a second to bring up his fifty.

It's come off 78 balls with four fours and a six. Just a third half-century of the season for the 23-year-old.

  17. 200 up for Gloucestershirepublished at 14:35 BST 26 September

    Kent 353 v Glos 229 & 205-8

Matt Taylor lofts Ekansh Singh over mid-off at the start of a new over.

He rotates the stike and Kamran Dhairwal edges down to third man for the second boundary of the over.

Dhariwal also runs the last one in a similar direction, this one a controlled stroke, for four and goes to a deserved 50 from 94 balls.

Bears skipper Ed Barnard is presented with the trophy and wastes no time in lifting it aloft alongside his elated team-mates.

History and lifelong memories being made for everyone associated with Warwickshire.

  19. Postpublished at 14:33 BST 26 September

    Notts v Yorks 89-2 - target 158

Mohammad Ali returns to the attack after an expensive three-over spell to give Brett Hutton a breather. He's put in a good shift for his side.

Will Luxton pushes into the offside and nips through for a second run to move within two of his fifty.

Yorkshire are closing in on an excellent comeback victory here.
