More frustration for Somerset as Adam Thomas cracks away successive Migael Pretorius deliveries for sumptuous boundaries.

The batting conditions look good under the blue skies at Taunton.

Pretorious over pitches and Thomas bangs another four to bring up the 400.

Rinse and repeat from Olly Stone.

Adam Lyth has struggled against a super spell from the Notts pacer and is squared up by a shorter length, nudging behind to give Mitch Hay a second routine catch of the morning.

Not such a happy birthday for Lyth as the Yorkshire openers fall cheaply once again.

    James Wharton joins Sam Whiteman.

    Somerset 390-7 v Surrey

Off the back foot, Dan Worrall eases Jack Leach away for a lovely boundary - proper cricket shot that from the tailender.

After those two early wickets this morning, Somerset will have hoped to rush through the final three Surrey wickets but they are finding it tough going.

    Middx 255 v Northants 103 & 33-0

  10. Bad light stops play at Edgbastonpublished at 11:38 BST 25 September

    Warks 181-4 v Leics 125

It's very gloomy and cloudy at Edgbaston, and not even the floodlights are able to help produce a playable light, so the players have left the field.

Warwickshire have added 51 runs without loss this morning, with Sam Hain and Ed Barnard unbeaten on 60 and 53 respectively.

The Bears' lead is up to 56.

  11. 350 up for Glamorganpublished at 11:37 BST 25 September

    Glamorgan 351-4 v Essex

They will have to settle for two batting points but Glamorgan seem set for a commanding total with six wickets in hand at Cardiff.

Billy Root cuts away for a couple of runs to bring up the home side's 350.

  12. Postpublished at 11:36 BST 25 September

    Somerset v Surrey 384-7

No more bonus points are available as we have now bowled 112 overs at Taunton.

Somerset have collected two bowling points which will not help their cause as they bid to overhaul leaders Warwickshire and win a first title.

It is the first time this season the home side have failed to take maximum bowling points which is some record.

Such a mess that the (Leicestershire) appeal couldn't be heard before this round of fixtures. Essex will need to focus on making it moot, which a draw should do.

Ollie Robinson and Kasey Aldridge have posted a 50 partnership for Durham at Old Trafford. The visitors are 362-5 in the 100th over.

    Luxton c Hay b Stone 8 (Notts 251 v Yorks 21-1)

    Breakthrough at Trent Bridge.

Olly Stone has bowled superbly this morning and gets his reward, but opener Will Luxton is far from happy with the decision.

Stone gets one to move away from Luxton's defensive push which is adjudged to have nicked the outside edge on its way through to Mitch Hay.

The Yorks opener shows his thoughts by shaking his head all the way back to the pavilion.

    Sam Whiteman joins Adam Lyth.

    Ingram c Elgar b Akhter 42 (Glamorgan 348-4 v Essex)

Zaman Akhter drops short again and Colin Ingram pulls him away to the mid-wicket fence for four.

Bowler and batter try a repeat the next ball and this time the bowler wins.

Ingram top edges and Dean Elgar takes the catch down on the long leg boundary.

Could that be the final time we see Colin Ingram with a bat in hand for Glamorgan after he announced his retirement at the end of this season?

Another forthcoming retiree is next in as Billy Root joins Asa Tribe in the middle.
