    At times this pitch looks very good for batting. At times the ball has moved down, it's been difficult. I don't know if you can put this down to the lack of batting depth from Pakistan.

    It's a pitch where you're never in.

    Khurram Shahzad has an air of 'here for a good time, not a long time' about him.

    He adds a second boundary to his total with slightly sketchy stroke through about fourth slip before heaving and missing at one. Ben Duckett cups his hands behind his ears - no one else is interested in the caught behind.

    Josh Tongue finishes his over with a bouncer which is avoided by Khurram Shahzad.

    He's on four. Muhammad Rizwan has 11 (15) - Pakistan need a big contribution from their wicketkeeper to get them up towards 250.

  10. Ollie Robinson then took the big wicket of Abdullah Shafique, who had looked in good touch to make 61.

    A beauty that jagged back through the gate did for him before Josh Tongue took two in two to end the session...

    Had he reviewed, he would have survived as the ball was going over the top of leg stump but the Pakistan batter took too long before trying to send it upstairs and was sent on his way...

  12. Pakistan were going along nicely after the rain delay but Josh Tongue found the breakthrough as he had Imam-ul-Haq caught in the slips for 42...

    Emilio Gay can start to think about batting now. He can start assessing the conditions because he could be putting his pads on very soon.

    It is still three wickets, but they could fall very quickly.

  14. There's definitely been help from the pitch and the overheads, Cameron, but England have bowled well.

    Ollie Robinson, in particular, has been excellent while Josh Tongue came to life right at the end of that afternoon session.

    It won't be easy for the England batters once they get out there and I'm sure Muhammad Abbas will be looking forward to bowling on this surface but it's not a minefield. I certainly don't think Pakistan will be satisfied at 150-7.

    I haven't been able to watch today. Is this a good pitch that's just done a bit with the overhead conditions? The glass half empty fan in me thinks Pakistan aren't actually doing too badly here. I can easily see us being 50-5!

    Perfect day so far for Joe Root's England side.

    Ollie Robinson has really been the pick, he's had it on a string all day.

    That's tea then. Josh Tongue will be back afterwards to try and complete his hat-trick (yes, folks, this one is definitely a hat-trick!).

    England have bowled well, Ollie Robinson in particular, on a pitch that is doing a bit for the bowlers.

    Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq batted nicely for Pakistan but they're both back in the shed and England will be thinking they can wrap this innings up sharpish after the break.

    No bat involved, it was fast - 91mph - yorker and Ali Usman was beaten for pace.

    The ball thudded into his shin and no surprise it's three reds on ball-tracking.

    Josh Tongue is on a hat-trick - but the hat-trick ball will have to wait until after tea!
