  1. Close of play at Northamptonpublished at 18:40 BST 13 June

    Northants 465 v Glocs 233-5

From a position of some peril at 56-4 Glocs have wrestled this game back to somewhere close to 50-50 courtesy of a couple of gutsy partnerships.

Northants had posted 465 thanks chiefly to Nathan McSweeney (117) and Saif Zaib (142) on day one and late order hitting from Harry Conway (21) and Liam Guthrie (52).

And a burst with the new ball which reduced Glocs to four down looked to have given them pole position in the game.

Thanks to James Bracey (72) and Graeme van Buuren (75*) they are back in the mix, particularly if GVB can forge a couple of partnerships down the order.

Jack Taylor has looked okay putting on 29 runs with van Buuren but more will be needed in the morning.

  2. Postpublished at 18:39 BST 13 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 72-1

Into the final four overs of a day at Trent Bridge which has very much belonged to Somerset.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:36 BST 13 June

    Milnes c Harris b Balderson 8 (Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 303-8)

    Another wicket for Lancashire!

Matt Milnes smashes one to deep backward square leg off George Balderson but Marcus Harris manages to get round to take the catch on the move to his left.

Just two more needed for the hosts to remove Kent.

  4. 50 stand for Derbyshirepublished at 18:35 BST 13 June

    Durham 377 v Derbys 118 & 94-3

Wayne Madsen plays Kasey Aldridge to mid-wicket for a single and that is a 50 partnership from Harry Came from 132 balls.

The Derbyshire deficit is now 165.

  5. 300 runs

300 up for Kentpublished at 18:34 BST 13 June

    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 303-7

Sums up Lancashire's day so far.

Jimmy Anderson finds the edge of Matt Milnes' bat but it evades first slip down low and runs away for four.

Chris Benjamin then hits another four off George Balderson and Kent pass 300, taking their lead to 394.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:33 BST 13 June

    Thomas c Clarke b Patterson-White (Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 72-1)

    Finally a breakthrough for Nottinghamshire.

Josh Thomas tries to cut one outside off stump from Liam Patterson-White but nicks it on the way through to Joe Clarke.

  7. Postpublished at 18:33 BST 13 June

    Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 155 & 27-0

Back to back boundaries for Glamorgan as Zain ul Hassan flicks the last ball of Dom Goodman's over through square leg and Asa Tribe finds the boundary at the start of the next, bowled by Jaydev Unadkat, tucking him away off the hip.

  8. Postpublished at 18:32 BST 13 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 72-0

Lyndon James will not want to watch this again and spin bowler Liam Patterson-White probably won't be too impressed either.

James slides to cut off the square cut by Jordan Hermann but unfortunately he can only help in pushing it over the rope for four more to Somerset.

Hermann then sweeps for a single to race along to 40 from 54 balls.

  9. dropped catch

Dropped catch Barker survivespublished at 18:31 BST 13 June

    Warwickshire 220-7 v Yorkshire 469

Keith Barker edges Ben Cliff for a relatively regulation chance to slip but George Hill spills it.

Alas it's Hill's second miss of the day

  10. Postpublished at 18:31 BST 13 June

    Leics 187 & 18-0 v Essex 401

Rishi Patel (10) and Sheridon Gumbs (6) have started in a positive manner with three boundaries on the board already after six overs.

It is almost certainly the way forward for the Foxes who do not want to invite pressure on themselves given the match situation.

Leics trail by 196 runs following on and need their openers to knock off a chunk of it without loss.

  11. Postpublished at 18:29 BST 13 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 66-0

Short and wide from Mohammad Ali and Josh Thomas makes the most of that loose ball.

Away it goes for four through backward point with the square cut from Thomas, who then picks up a single from the last ball of the over.

Somerset's lead is up to 183.

  12. Postpublished at 18:25 BST 13 June

    Sussex 521 v Glamorgan 155 & 15-0

Zain ul Hassan, normally a batsman who likes to get on with it, is doing very well to rein himself in here. He has just a single to his name from 18 balls faced, with partner Asa Tribe on 10 not out.

Five more overs to come after this one from Jaydev Unadkat.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:25 BST 13 June

    Taylor b Morgan 26 (Worcs 262-9 v Middx 339)

    Another one for the teenager.

Sebastian Morgan sends Tom Taylor's off stump cart-wheeling out of the ground.

The ninth wicket pair added 29 but Middlesex will now hope to clinch a significant first innings lead. It's currently 77.

  14. 50 runs

50 up for Somersetpublished at 18:23 BST 13 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 55-0

Two fours from the first two balls of Dillon Pennington's over for Jordan Hermann and Somerset move past 50.

Hermann has 32 and it's all going rather swimmingly for the visitors at the moment.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:21 BST 13 June

    Dudgeon c Harris b Anderson 16 (Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 286-7)

Jimmy Anderson decides it's time to bring himself back into the attack for Lancashire and it's worked.

Keith Dudgeon tries to drive but spoons one up on the offside and Marcus Harris is there to make a good catch at full stretch on the dive in front of him.

Is it too little, too late for Lancashire?

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:20 BST 13 June

    Suthar c Bairstow b Hill 33 (Warwickshire 210-7 v Yorkshire 469)

Yorkshire have had to be patient in search of the seventh wicket but they've got it now.

Manav Suthar comes down the pitch and edges George Hill to be caught behind.

The India test player shared in a stand of 64 with Ed Barnard.

The Bears need 110 more to avoid the follow on.

  17. Postpublished at 18:19 BST 13 June

    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 285-6

Keith Dudgeon has only been at the crease for 13 overs but already the partnership with Chris Benjamin is worth 75 runs.

Dudgeon only has 16 of them, mind.

  18. Postpublished at 18:18 BST 13 June

    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 285-6

Chris Benjamin has hit three sixes in the past two overs and now he is just 17 shy of a ton.

More importantly for Kent, they now lead Lancashire by 376.

  19. 6 runs

for Benjaminpublished at 18:17 BST 13 June

    Lancs 87 v Kent 178 & 284-6

Has anyone told Chris Benjamin this is red-ball cricket?

This time it's Tom Aspinwall who has been given the treatment as Benjamin smashes him over long on for six.

And then again the very next ball over mid-wicket! My word. Two sixes in two balls.

  20. Postpublished at 18:16 BST 13 June

    Notts 193 v Somerset 310 & 41-0

Almost a maiden for Dillon Pennington but Jordan Hermann makes sure it's not, pushing through extra cover for four from the final ball of the over.
