  1. Sensational start from Surreypublished at 14:19 BST 2 September

    Surrey v Yorks 43-3

Yorkshire are re-building after an incredible start from Surrey's bowlers.

Matt Fisher got two LBWs in the first over, Adam Lyth failing to offer a shot.

Dan Worrall benefitted from a great diving catch by Ben Foakes as Will Luxton fell.

  2. 50 runs

50 for Yatespublished at 14:16 BST 2 September

    Hants v Warks 127-1

Rob Yates cuts one to the boundary to reach his half century.

It's been slower than Dan Mousley's, taking 106 balls but it has included a six as well as six fours.

It's Yates sixth 50+ score of the season but he's still looking for his first century.

  3. Under way at Northwoodpublished at 14:16 BST 2 September

    Middx 5-0 v Lancs

Sir James Anderson sends down the first over of this delayed match and Middx take six from it, Luke Hollman with a four off the fourth ball.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:07 BST 2 September

    Bancroft c Andersson b Randell 6 (Glocs 15-1 v Derbys)

The presence of Brooke Guest standing up to the stumps has undoubtedly contributed to this wicket.

Cameron Bancroft stabs at a rising delivery outside off stump with no foot movement and the edge flies to Martin Andersson at third slip and the skipper and opener is gone.

  5. 100 up for Glamorganpublished at 14:07 BST 2 September

    Somerset v Glam 111-4

Ben Kellaway is leading the fightback for Glamorgan.

He drives Lewis Gregory down the ground for a boundary to bring the hundred up.

And then cuts Migael Pretorius backward of point for his seventh boundary to move to 40.

  6. 100 runs

100 partnership for Warwickshirepublished at 14:05 BST 2 September

    Hants v Warks 114-1

It's been good stuff from Rob Yates and Dan Mousley as they complete a century stand for the second wicket.

Mousley has been increasingly dominant, taking on spinner Andrew Neal.

This isn't what bottom of the table Hampshire had in mind when they put the Bears in.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:04 BST 2 September

Lees lbw Chahal 24 (Northants v Durham 73-3)

    Northants have first bowling point.

Yuzvendra Chahal, over the wicket, lands one on middle-and-leg and left-handed Lees plays slightly across it.

That's fine if you hit it. Lees doesn't and is hit in front. Up goes the finger. Lees doesn't look 100% about that - maybe feels it pitched outside leg - but he's got to go.

  8. Appeal - not outpublished at 14:03 BST 2 September

    Glocs v Leics 11-0

Ben Aitchison was convinced he had Joe Phillips tickling down leg side and caught behind but the umpire feels that was thigh pad.

The Leics man is aghast but then again when is a fast bowler ever not.

Replays were inconclusive but an edge through the slips for four does not improve his mood.

  9. rain stops play

Rain stops playpublished at 14:03 BST 2 September

    Northants v Durham 74-2

    It's a been a bit hokey-cokey at Wantage Road.

First hour lost to rain. Early lunch, then back out for a bit, then back off but we're about to start again.

Alex Lees and David Bedingham have added 58 so far. Lees has survived a big appeal of lbw though in the last little bit of play.

    But he's still there.

The Div Two leaders hanging strong.

  10. Postpublished at 13:59 BST 2 September

    Surrey v Yorkshire 26-3

James Wharton and Matthew Revis are trying to steady the ship for Yorkshire who were 1 for 3 after two overs but it's not looking easy for them.

Auqib Nabi, who's been on the fringe of the India squad lately, has come in for his first bowl in county cricket.

  11. rain stops play

Rain stops playpublished at 13:59 BST 2 September

    Kent 128-4 v Worcestershire

What a boost that wicket would've been for the Pears as the rain returns and forces the players off.

Wickets going at 14, 18, 100 and 103 but, thanks to Daniel Bell-Drummonds 19 from 25 balls, Kent have wrestled the immediate mommentum.

He should be out though, dropped by Adam Hose on 18.

  12. 50 runs

50 for Mousleypublished at 13:56 BST 2 September

    Hants v Warks 109-1

Mousley pulls the spin of Andrew Neal through mid wicket for his eighth four to bring up his fourth 50+ score of the season.

It gets worse for Hampshire as Kyle Abbott has to leave the field with a hand injury after attempting to stop the next ball

  13. Under way at Bristolpublished at 13:54 BST 2 September

    Glocs 7-0 v Derbys

Brett Randell sends down the second over of the match after the rain delayed start and Joe Phillips hits the first four of the Glocs innings, steering it though cover to the rope.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:50 BST 2 September

    Luxton c Foakes b Worrall 0 (Surrey v Yorkshire 1-3)

Incredible start at The Oval after play finally gets underway.

First Matt Fisher removes Adam Lyth and Sam Whiteman in the first over and then Dan Worrall has Will Luxton caught behind.

  15. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 13:49 BST 2 September

    Bell-Drummond let off

    Adam Hose....

Daniel Bell-Drummond is given another go as Worcestershire, and Hose, drop another catch.

It's Ben Allison this time who sees an edge grassed. DBD has been in fine four-slapping form with 16 coming off three balls and then prods the fourth straight to second slip.

Hose oves across to his left, gets both hands to it but he's a fraction late and the ball smacks into his chest and pops out.

To make matters worse, Allison starts the next over standing at first slip next to Hose.

    Interesting small talk...

  16. Play resumes at Southamptonpublished at 13:45 BST 2 September

    Hants v Warks 94-1

Despite some threatening clouds floating over Southampton during lunch we're back underway on time.

Hampshire in need of wickets as Rob Yates and Dan Mousley resume their stand on 80.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:41 BST 2 September

    Hughes c Walter b Snater 45 (Essex v Sussex 79-3)

Daniel Hughes adds a third boundary as he whips a wider ball past point with fast wrists.

But then he flicks a tighter line without moving his feet and nicks to second slip.

It’s spilled by Simon Harmer up by his right shoulder but Paul Walter is able to take the rebound!

  18. Postpublished at 13:40 BST 2 September

    Essex v Sussex 75-2

Sussex settling into their afternoon’s work.

Two boundaries for Daniel Hughes who’s now up to 41.

A fractionally short ball from Shane Snater was pulled over midwicket.

Snater went fuller later in the over and got merrily driven past cover.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:39 BST 2 September

    Northeast (c Cullen b Finch 43) Kent 111-4 v Worcestershire

    Lift-off from a length.

Better length from Adam Finch who's put a tempter into somewhere near the slot for Sam Northeast.

The Kent batter cannot resist (it's just not quite there though) and he drives big and nicks it through to Henry Cullen.

Cullen takes a searing, rising ball like he juggling an overdone cake straight out the over.

    Well held.

  20. rain stops play

Rain stops playpublished at 13:36 BST 2 September

    Notts 9-0 v Leics

One over, nine from it and the rain has arrived and they are off.

Would you believe it. Still, time for Haseeb Hameed to rack up 9,000 career first class runs with those two fours and a single.
