Sri Lanka are actually ahead of where England were. They're giving it a good crack, but there's still a long long way to go.

  5. How's stat?!published at 14:35 BST 22 October

Brilliant pull shot from Avishka Fernando, who has excelled against the short ball in his ODI career. He averages 44 and strikes at 144 against it - his highest figures for any length.

A couple more fours for Avishka Fernando off Jamie Overton.

He hits an 88mph delivery through mid-wicket and then hits the final ball of the over fine.

I think England had less runs at this stage in the innings but when you're chasing like this you can't think like that. You can't leave that much to do at that stage of the game. They just need to stay in touching distance.

Jamie Overton tightens up with a couple of dot balls to end his over.

There's nothing that annoys Jamie Overton more than a top edge over the keeper for six.

  11. 6 runs

    SL 78-2published at 12.4 overs

Well, there's a bit of intent, Steven.

Pavan Rathnayake isn't really in control of either of these shots, but he pulls Jamie Overton for a one-bounce four through mid-wicket and then top-edges a six behind square.

That brings up the fifty partnership at a run a ball.

It's going to be frustrating if there's no real intent shown. Sri Lanka have been a touch timid since the change bowlers have come on and you can't have that because it just makes the rest of the innings impossible.

The required rate is such that the pressure to go at 9.4 an over is just going to be so so difficult for Sri Lanka.

  14. SL 67-2published at 12 overs

Changes at both ends for England as they introduce spin with Liam Dawson.

    Four singles off this one.

  15. SL 63-2published at 11 overs

Jamie Overton into the attack as we come out of the powerplay.

He concedes three runs from his first six balls.

60 for two in 10 overs wouldn't be a bad score ordinarily but not in the face of chasing 430. Sri Lanka just have to keep the intensity up. The danger with that is they'll lose wickets.

Overton finds that jump out of the surface and either of these batters are going to have to take risks to score runs at some stage.

Another four for Avishka Fernando, driving Josh Tongue through the covers.

He moves to 32 at a run a ball.

Meanwhile that's the end of the powerplay - Sri Lanka need 9.25 runs an over from here.

  19. 6 runs

    Fifty up with a six!

Avishka Fernando slams Josh Tongue's first ball over fine leg - 44 of Sri Lanka's 55 runs have come from boundaries.

If Sri Lanka lose this they need a lot of things to go in their favour if they're going to make it to the final so they need to go for it.
