  1. Eng 176-2published at 24 overs

    Target 282

Maia Bouchier attempts to sweep Cara Murray's final ball of the over, and is struck on the pad. But it's a dot ball and nothing more for the Irish leggie.

Jodi Grewcock looked late on it, even though Cara Murray was bowling very slow. I think Grewcock looked a bit flustered, putting herself under a bit of pressure. It was nicely flighted, with a bit of turn though.

What a beautiful bit of bowling from Cara Murray!

    Grewcock b Murray 9 (Eng 173-2)

Fine bowling from Cara Murray, who has carried Ireland's hopes here.

The leg-spinner manages to find a bit of flight and dip as she spins one through the gate of Jodi Grewcock's tentative defensive prod.

I'd like to see Jodi Grewcock come out of her shell in the rest of this match and play with freedom.

  6. Eng 172-1published at 23 overs

    Target 282

Jane Maguire returns, but her first delivery is a full toss which is swatted behind square for four by Maia Bouchier.

A glimmer of a stumping chance off the penultimate ball of the over when Bouchier overbalances attempting to glance a slower ball into leg side, but it misses Amy Hunter's gloves entirely.

Ireland's fielding has not been up to the required standard today.

  8. Eng 163-1published at 22 overs

Maia Bouchier skies one off Cara Murray but once again it thuds into the turf over mid-on. The leg-spinner has looked Ireland's most-likely sources of a wicket.

All the odds are in England's favour. This will be a good opportunity for Jodi Grewcock.

  10. Eng 157-1published at 21 overs

    Wasteful from Louise Little.

She gives new batter Jodi Grewcock a freebie on her hips which the England batter whips round the corner for four.

Later in the over Maia Bouchier rather uncompromisingly biffs Little over mid-off for four down the ground.

Ireland need to create some moments of pressure or this will be a cakewalk for England.

England have never lost an ODI where the openers scored 135 or more for the first wicket, which has happened in 12 matches.

  12. Eng 144-1published at 20 overs

    Target 282

Ireland have opened an end up.

A couple of quick wickets here could make it interesting.

Oh, what a grab! Sophia Dunkley played very well for her 73. She was superb from ball one. But that's a fantastic bit of bowling and Cara Murray deserves that wicket.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.4 overs

    Dunkley c & b Murray 73 (Eng 143-1)

No century for Sophia Dunkley as Cara Murray takes a caught-and-bowled chance.

Given a bit of air by the Irish leg-spinner and Dunkley ends up playing down the wrong line and punching it back towards the bowler.

Murray does well to react and dives to her left to take a smart catch.

England are crusing at the moment. Ireland have to keep chopping and changing their bowlers, to try and keep England on their toes.

  16. Eng 142-0published at 19 overs

Gaby Lewis spins the wheel on her bowling options and lands on Louise Little.

The seamer opts to go short with her fifth ball and with the keeper up Sophia Dunkley ramps Little for four.

Superbly executed by the England opener.

This is England's highest opening partnership against Ireland in women's ODIs.

That's bad, I'm afraid. Arlene Kelly needed to react quicker. She was glued to the spot in those first few seconds.

  19. Eng 135-0published at 18 overs

Sophia Dunkley gets down low to slog sweep Cara Murray's first ball, dropped short, after the drinks break for four.

Her final delivery is skied over the head of Arlene Kelly at mid-on but she cannot get herself under the ball to turn it into a genuine catching chance.

Gaby Lewis claps her hands trying to lift her players, and keep them believing.

Trademark Dunkley. It doesn't look like it should go through mid-off but she closes the bat and times it beautifully.
