Have your say on England women this summer

  1. Ire 139-1published at 27 overs

There were a couple of quarter-chances but England haven't created a lot since that one wicket they did take...

Brilliant fifty from Amy Hunter who has been very strong on the sweep and with the scoop. In her ODI career to date, she is yet to be dismissed while reverse sweeping or playing the scoop shot, with over 100 runs scored.

  3. Ire 136-1published at 26 overs

    Lewis 60, Hunter 51

    Thanks Tim.

There are two more boundaries in this over for Ireland too - one helped by a poor piece of fielding on the boundary by Jodi Grewcock.

England have been tame with the ball and sloppy in the field.

Fifty for Gaby Lewis. It has been a great innings as well. She has played with composure and just knocked it around really.

Irish eyes are smiling at the moment.

    Blurred vision for England, though.

Here's Matthew Henry to talk you through the remainder of the first innings.

  6. 50 runs

Half-century for Lewispublished at 24.4 overs

Lauren Filer continues and drops it short to Gaby Lewis with her fourth ball of the over.

The Irish skipper swivels and pulls it for four to bring up her fifty.

It has been a great knock from Amy Hunter. She came into her own when the spin came on with her paddles and sweeps.

  8. 50 runs

Fifty for Hunterpublished at 24 overs

Amy Hunter picks up a single off the final ball of Mady Villiers' over to reach her half-century off 67 balls

A bit of risk and a bit of innovation has just crept in the past few overs.

  10. Ire 119-1published at 23.5 overs

Alice Capsey with lots of encouragement for Mady Villiers from behind the stumps after four dots.

Amy Hunter sweeps hard again - over the head of Charlie Dean at backward square - to pick up four.

  11. Ire 115-1published at 23.2 overs

Travis, Manic Street Preachers, and Eminem headlined the Reading festival back in 2001, by the way.

    Different times. Different times.

This is the first hundred partnership by Ireland against England in women's ODIs.

  13. Ire 115-1published at 23 overs

Ireland have beaten England on English soil in an ODI before - 25 years ago at Reading in 2001.

On that occasion Ireland made 116 before they bundled England out for 60.

  14. Ire 114-1published at 22.1 overs

    Brilliant from Amy Hunter.

Lauren Filer is brough back into the attack and Hunter ramps her first ball for four.

Amy Jones would make bad throws look normal. Alice Capsey hasn't got her head around that yet. We are just starting to see the value of Amy in the last few overs.

We are starting to notice some of the pieces of fielding.

  16. Ire 110-1published at 22 overs

Gaby Lewis chips Mady Villiers over the in-field. It's in the air but lands safe.

England lacking a little bit of inspiration in these middle overs, and there's some sloppy fielding to boot.

    Katherine Sciver-Brunt

It is feeling a bit flat from England. It's hard to get into the game when batters aren't entertaining you.

  18. Ire 104-1published at 21 overs

Amy Hunter and Gaby Lewis punch gloves at the end of Charlie Dean's over having cleverly farmed the strike, picking up singles and a two.

    Katherine Sciver-Brunt

England look like they want to bowl at Amy Hunter more than Gaby Lewis, thinking that is their way through this partnership.

  20. Ire 97-1published at 20 overs

England have never chased more than 267 to win an ODI so if Ireland are looking for a benchmark total here that figure will probably round about where they hope to be.

Mady Villiers into the attack for England but nothing to really alarm Amy Hunter and Gaby Lewis.
