A bit of a lucky four for Joe Clarke off Scott Currie but they all count and Notts will not care one bit.

Clarke is bamboozled by the slower ball and top edges high over the wicketkeeper and away for four.

He then picks up a single to bring up his 50 from 35 balls.

Scott Currie tries to make the catch but it's already just over the rope.

James Fuller's first over of the day for Hampshire and his second ball is dispatched for six over long-off by Joe Clarke.

Different line for the next ball but it's still another boundary as Clarke slams down the ground for four more. He then picks up a single.

Jack Haynes screams for two as he pushes to mid-off but it'll just be one. Clarke connects nicely with the final ball of the over but it's cut off for just one.

That's a good over for Notts with 13 from it.

Hampshire are going with more spin and Tristan Stubbs is on to bowl just his sixth over of the entire T20 Blast competition this season.

Three singles for Joe Clarke and two for Jack Haynes. Just the five from it. Not too bad at all for Stubbs and Hants.

Liam Dawson is into the bowling attack with some left-arm spin for Hampshire and Joe Clarke goes after him, smashing down the ground for a big straight six.

Clarke pushes for a single to point to move onto 27 from 21 balls.

Jack Haynes then perfectly places a lofted cover drive to pick the gap in the field and it runs away for four.

Single to end the over and that's the 50 up for Notts.

Now Hampshire can be more defensive and they've got Notts in a position where 37-1 from six, and again they're not ahead of the rate, but it just gives Hampshire the ability now to bring on the spinners.

Hampshire would have definitely taken this start had you offered it to them at 35-1 after five overs.

There is only one wicket down but it is such a big score to chase, keeping that run rate up puts a lot of pressure on.

Four dots and just the one single from the first five balls of Scott Currie's over before Joe Clarke skies one high over extra cover.

It lands safely though and Notts can pick up two.

Final over of the powerplay ends and you'd say it's advantage Hampshire at this early stage of the Notts run chase.

Hampshire were 46-1 at this stage of their innings, so Notts are slightly behind as things stand.

Joe Clarke is trying to get on with it a little bit more to avoid scoreboard pressure building too quickly.

He smashes one down the ground over the head of Chris Wood for four. Probably the first time Wood's length has strayed slightly too full.

A certain boundary is then denied in the covers by Ben Mayes to prevent Clarke's middled drive.

No-one is stopping that last ball though as Clarke absolutely hammers it at lightning speed to the point boundary for four.

That will help relieve some pressure, at least for now for Notts. Joe Clarke is quickly onto the half-volley from Sonny Baker and punches down the ground for four before taking a single.

Jack Haynes then keeps things moving with a single of his own. Clarke takes a big swing and miss to end the over.

Baker is bowling fast here - around the 88-89mph mark.

Notts are going to need somebody else to step to the plate if they are to challenge this victory target of 188.

Hampshire, like Notts striking early on, but this is huge as far as Notts are concerned.

Brilliant over by Chris Wood. One wicket and just two runs off it for Notts. Hampshire will take that.

Sonny Baker made his England Test debut against New Zealand back in June and now he's bowling in a T20 Blast semi-final for Hampshire.

He's sent for six in his first over though - George Munsey timing perfectly off his legs to flick it through the air behind square and over the rope.

Baker tightens up his line and Munsey pushes for a single to mid-wicket.

Decent enough start for Notts here.

What a time for the Winchester batter to produce a personal best, easily topping his previous highest of 71 with that superb 88 not out.

Joe Clarke off the mark with the first ball from Chris Wood, nudging a single to cover.

George Munsey guides one behind square on the off-side to get off the mark as well.

Another single for Clarke before Munsey pulls away through the leg-side for the first four of the run chase.

What have Notts Outlaws got up their sleeves in response to what looks, on the face of it, to be a very good first innings total by Hampshire?

Notts Outlaws are going to have to record the third highest total run-chase in T20 Finals Day history if they are to make it through.

The previous highest run-chase on Finals Day came in the final last season when Somerset knocked off 195 against... Hampshire.

Surrey also chased down 195 against Lancashire in the 2005 semi-final, while Lancashire knocked off 208 against Yorkshire in a semi-final in 2022.
