It's an interesting total because Hampshire were in an immaculate position at 130-1 halfway through the 15th over and you felt at one point they'll be able to kick on and then it stalled ever so slightly.

And then thanks to a brilliant last over and many thanks to Hilton Cartwright who did finish on that nine-ball 19, Hampshire, it feels are well and truly ahead at a 187-3 considering the two totals in the first game were Northants' 143 all out and Somerset's, off their 20, 126-9.

So, it feels like Hampshire are in a terrific position.

I think they've showed Notts the way they have to play on the pitch as well.

It's not one of those pitches where you get loads of cameos from different people.

From what we've seen on three innings so far, you have to build partnerships.

You need someone to get in and then go big.

They read the conditions perfectly and just timed that acceleration to perfection.

So two bullied drives from Hilton Cartwright and some good running sees them get to 187-3 but Olly Stone has kept them under 190 with a couple of decent yorkers to close.

Joe Weatherley (88 not out) and James Vince (59) put on 126 for the second wicket but Notts fought back pretty well to limit the damage.

Considering they lost just three wickets, Hants would have been looking for 200 plus but slower balls proved difficult to get away.

It could have been better for Notts had they held on to several chances which were spilled.

HIlton Cartwright has slammed the first two deliveries from Olly Stone for four with two muscular straight drives.

Joe Weatherley waits for the slower ball second delivery and slams him to the midwicket-square leg boundary.

Good comeback from Mohammad Amir who nearly has Hilton Cartwright caught at wide long-on with his fourth legitimate ball.

Liam Patterson-White covered good ground and launched a dive that saw his hand connect but that would have been a worldie had he held on.

Notts have done okay in the last few overs.

That was a difficult ball to get underneath and lift it over the short third man fielder. It was right up there and it's good bowling at this stage.

I don't think Notts have bowled very badly at all, I think they've bowled OK, it's stopped Hampshire getting further away.

I say further away, they're not out of sight, nowhere near it, but maybe in the context of Finals Day at the first semi-final, whatever they end up posting will be a good score.

I think that's the closest I've ever got to a cricket ball being hit into our commentary box.

No movement required from the fielders as Joe Weatherley creams a drive high into the second tier behind Olly Stone's head.

There is some rapid running to take three twos which, even with direct hits, could have been home.

Just 14 from the over which, after the first ball, is decent damage limitation at this stage of the innings.

Boy did Notts need that wicket.

They've got to start somewhere. Yes, there might be some dangermen coming in but they needed to break that partnership. Two men who were very, very clearly in and seeing the ball well.

To say Notts needed that is an understatement.
