Brilliant start. I think Hampshire here with Weatherley set nicely and Vince set nicely in the powerplay, they’ll fancy their chances to go on and make a big score to put Notts under pressure.

Benny Howell is an athlete, still going strong at 37 years old, and aside from a couple of wides which he tried to get away with and didn't, that is a decent enough start.

Just seven from the over with three singles and a two against two well-set batters is a good enough return for his skipper.

A combination of slow but accurate deliveries around the 60mph mark but difficult to get away.

Joe Weatherley launches George Linde for a six down the ground, arrow straight over the bowler's head to bring up the half-century partnership between him and James Vince.

Olly Stone sends down part of a nice tidy over with Hants finding it tricky to get under him or through him.

But the Notts seamer loses his length on ball five and James Vince pings him to the cover rope.

The boundary brings up the 50 mark for Hants and puts them within one hit of a half century partnership for this pair who came together second ball.

It's so hard to compare eras in sport, but given the talent that oozed out of Sir Garfield Sobers, it's hard to imagine a player like him not dominating any form of cricket he would have played.

They have played it very smart. We've seen in the first game, both teams rocked up and figured it's a traditional T20 wicket, let's go hard in the powerplay and ended up three down.

Hampshire obviously have been watching. It's a little bit more bowler friendly, you have to respect the pitch.

They are setting themselves up for what could be a big finish. They will be looking at 150 and saying that's our first target and then we can power through. But the key is getting there first.

It feels on Finals Day, and even if you lose one or two early wickets, you've just got to dig your way through to the halfway mark and try and limit the damage as much as possible.

What Northants did well earlier was that despite losing a couple of early wickets, they were able to just continue and stay out of trouble.
