    Only 19 truncated overs were bowled with Glamorgan moving from 111-7 to 149-9.

    The forecast for Saturday isn't looking great either.

    The news we were expecting from the North Yorkshire coast as play is abandoned for the day at Scarborough.

    We managed just one session which saw Yorkshire rally to 263 all out and then 22 balls of Leicestershire's reply before bad light and rain scuppered further progress.

    Sai Kishore is hit for four by Durham's List A captain Kasey Aldridge in his 19th over of the match, though that spell truncated over many different hours and sessions of the two days!

    He has an attacking field with a slip and a silly extra cover helmeted in front of the tall, former England Lions allrounder.

    Dan Lategan tries to cut Tom Bailey away but can only flash an edge through to Keaton Jennings to take a throat-high catch at second slip.

    Again Glos look to their young loanee seamers to start a session.

    James Hayes, formerly of Sussex and Notts and of course Gloucestershire in the Blast earlier this year, bowls to Ollie Robinson on 28*.

    69 overs so far in this innings, 20 overs scheduled weather permitting.

    It is fairly gloomy as they walk out, the umpires will take a light meter reading as they are all set ready to start!

    That wicket has reignited Warwickshire after breaking a 73-run stand.

    However new man Liam Patterson-White, who joins centurion Joe Clarke, is in good nick.

    LPW rescued a collapsing Notts with an unbeaten 76 at the Oval last week, a knock which ultimately changed the course of the game.

    This feels like a preemptive strike.

    There are huge storm clouds looming over Northampton and the umpires have deemed the light too poor to continue.

    Ricardo Vasconcelos is 43* with Luke Procter 28* as the covers are rushed on by ground staff.

    The Matt Parkinson experiment is over after four pretty expensive overs.

    The leggy is replaced by the seam of Ekansh Singh as Kent seek to conjure a breakthrough.

    Surrey and opener Rory Burns have started their second innings with some intent!

    The visitors have raced to 25-0 off three overs at Chelmsford - Burns has 16 off 11 balls.

    Breakthrough at Edgbaston!

    Michael Booth sends down a short ball down the legside and Lyndon James has a swish down the leg side.

    It flies through to wicketkeeper Alex Davies and the appeal goes up for an edge.

    James looks to have received the benefit of the doubt, only for umpire Mick Newell to finally raise his finger. Good innings, loose shot.

    A little bit of lift of a length from Sean Hunt gets rid of Somerset opener Josh Thomas with a high shoulder of the bat edge to slip, not a lot he could have done with that ball out of nowhere.

    He has had a stellar campaign, feeling like the first home grown opener to fully cement their place atop the order for Somerset since Marcus Trescothick.

    Archie Vaughan, picked ahead of Lewis Goldsworthy for this match, is again in at three, struggling for batting form this season, more picked for his off-spin which should be seen more across the weekend.

    Derbyshire 79-3 v Middlesex

    The umpires have put us out of our misery.

    Ryan Higgins took two in two balls in the 32 overs possible before lunch, one of which was Matt Montgomery (30) while Caleb Jewell is unbeaten on 32, but this game has been devastated by Mother Nature.

    We'll hope for better luck tomorrow.

    Beyers Swanepoel (that walking off the field in South African first-class cricket fiasco long forgotten now?) takes 4-37 to wrap things up.

    Nice batting from Tom Bailey, 34 off 49 balls, scrambling his side up to a target to defend.

    The last wicket partnership (Tom Aspinwall 9*) frustrated Worc, but they can now bat in 10 minutes time.

    A well-timed push through the offside brings another elegant boundary for Joe Clarke to go to 105.

    A rare boundary in a quiet spell in the game and the partnership with Lyndon James (31) grows to 72.

    It also moves the visitors within 30 runs of a batting bonus point.

    Grant Stewart sends down a testing maiden over to Luke Procter.

    The third ball is a beauty and finds the edge, only to drop a yard short of Zak Crawley at slip.

    That's the third such incident in quick succession and Kent respond by shuffling their cordon forward, with Tawanda Muyeye now wearing a helmet at second slip, he's so close.

    No sign of play at Scarborough just yet and after an umpires' conflab in the middle, the bigger covers are being dragged out to supplement the covers over the wicket.
