Daniel is focused. His eyes haven't gone left, they haven't gone right. They have stayed in that spot, even when he gets in the ring. We are in for something here tonight. It feels special.

There is a fine line of weight. Based on your previous fights, how did you perform?

I will say this but I was starving myself two, three days in a row to make weight. Once I got on the scale, it was the best day of my life. Heavyweights will never understand that. I couldn't believe you could live like that, the right diet, the right hormones.

I'm not very excited to see them again. I'm expecting a good fight but a one-sided fight. I think Dubois is going to go in there and knock out Fabio pretty quickly.

Wardley changes in the last 20 minutes in the dressing room. That's when he gets that game face on, but you wouldn't know because he does it calmly.

There's few smiles on this walk. His manager is walking with him; this is very serious.

  13. Heavyweight by name, heavyweight by naturepublished at 22:39 BST 17 October

    Dubois v Wardley 2

Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley both tipped the scales at career-high weights on Friday.

    Dubois came in at 18st 2lb (115kg), while Wardley weighed 17st 10lb (112kg).

So what does that tell us?

Extra weight could help in the clinches and exchanges, but it doesn't necessarily mean extra power. And with the pace these two set in Manchester, stamina could be just as important.

Wardley faded badly in the second half of their first fight. Will the extra pounds help him cope with Dubois' strength, or become a problem if this goes into the later rounds?

For me, that cut on his nose is going to open up round one or two. It's so deep. It's going to cause him problems and Daniel is not going to give him that chance to get back in the fight.

I would say to Fabio, he needs to stay away from the ropes, it's danger zone. Don't go there.

  19. Will Wardley's nose reopen?published at 22:35 BST 17 October

    Dubois v Wardley 2

Fabio Wardley's nose has seen better days. After it got badly split open in the first fight with Frazer Clarke, it's not been the same.

We saw the scar tissue reopen against Daniel Dubois in May and the chance of seeing that happen again tonight is quite high.
