It looks to me as though he's never fully recovered from a few months ago. His face has not fully recovered.

WBO heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, speaking to DAZN: "Shout out to everyone. Shout out to my dad and the whole team for the effort. Fabio is a great boy, coming in for the second time, but it was my time, and my era. I had my intentions, bad intentions, from the beginning. This is God's victory tonight. We've done well."

On coming into the fight as the champion: "Yeah, my back was against the wall the first time, this time we just had to go out there and show that we mean business, which is what we did tonight."

The first thing I noticed is there were no jabs, basic fighting. Uppercuts were it. I know this is not the ideal way to start a fight. It's measuring the jab, getting the distance.

I would've established the jab, taken away his jab. Stay clear of the right hand.

IBF champion Filip Hrgovic is being invited into the ring by Frank Warren.

Could we soon see a unification fight between him and Daniel Dubois?

Dubois has beaten the Croatian before...

Unbelievable stuff. I got the right round but the wrong opponent! I really thought that Wardley was going to come out and really go for it and it would be early, but Daniel Dubois fought like a challenger.

He fought so hungry, so fierce. Every time he threw a shot, it was intense.

It took 17 seconds for Daniel Dubois to knock Fabio Wardley down in round one and the tone was set from there.

Dubois had his number from the very first bell.

Everyone knew that was going to happen, right? We had hoped for more.

That was such an uncomfortable watch. It was destructive from Dubois but Wardley did not look in it.

A good stoppage from the Wardley corner.

Both Wardley's physicality and reputation. He has regressed massively.

THAT'S ALL SHE WROTE!

Dubois unloads on Wardley in the corner and the towel comes in from the Wardley corner.

Wardley has a bit more bounce in his legs but you feel Dubois is one big punch away from ending this fight.

Dubois looks so destructive tonight. The hooks are flying in and Wardley winces as they land.

Steve Bunce
Boxing expert on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wardley is making the same mistakes as he did in the last contest. His hands are far too low; he was just inviting the pressure, and Daniel Dubois has taken the invitation.

That fight could have been stopped in the final 10 seconds of the round. Dubois was unloading on Wardley and he looked well out of it.

The corner need to take a serious think about Wardley here.

Dubois is going to go for this. He is going for the kill.

It's the first time Wardley has been down in his career and his legs don't look steady at all.

Dubois is hunting his man down.

Wardley beats the count but Dubois is ON HIM.
