While it is not always acknowledged, care is a central pillar of the global economy, driving growth, prosperity and societal well-being. At the forefront of this vital sector are nurses, who usually serve as the first point of contact for patients and are essential for healthier communities. In some contexts, nurses are the sole providers of care.
Caring with Courage is an advertisement feature, presented by the International Council of Nurses and produced for them by BBC StoryWorks. This branded series celebrates the incredible and far-reaching work nurses do, as innovators and experts in providing healthcare.
Through human-centric, solutions-focused branded films and articles, the series highlighted the stories of nurses transforming their communities - from the nurses inventing apps to the student nurses brining Indigenous knowledge into modern practice.
Featuring branded films paid and presented by GE Healthcare, W. K. Kellogg Foundation and Johnson and Johnson, Caring with Courage shone a spotlight on a sector and group that too often go unnoticed.
