AMR Action Fund, together with Shionogi, Pfizer and MSD, set out to raise awareness of the health threat that's been going under the radar and which threatens the foundations of modern medicine.
BBC StoryWorks produced an advertisement feature, paid and presented by these organisations, to celebrate the efforts of doctors, scientists, and experts who are relentlessly working to safeguard the health and wellbeing of generations to come through ground-breaking research and innovative solutions.
In Race Against Resistance, a 35-minute documentary-style film, we meet Tori, a college gymnast, who faced a once curable infection that escalated into a life-threatening crisis, and Kerry, battling relentless superbugs with numerous antibiotics after what seemed like a simple ear infection.
The campaign was released across YouTube, a dedicated BBC.com hubsite and BBC StoryWorks owned social media platforms, as well as being showcased at over 20 global events from Harvard Medical School to BIO International Convention and the AMR World Congress.
