I know that all attention is, rightfully, on Serena Williams’ Wimbledon singles comeback on Centre Court.

But there is a real humdinger on Court One right now, which is getting all the love and appreciation it deserves from the engrossed crowd under the roof.

The 41-year-old Stan Wawrinka and former Wimbledon runner-up Matteo Berrettini are fast approaching the four-hour mark in their first-round meeting - and there’s every chance it could go on a fair while longer still.

All three completed sets have gone to a tie-break, including a whopping 34-pointer won by Berrettini to take the second.

There is some magnificent grass-court tennis being played here and, as the scoreline suggests, very little to separate the two. It could be a late one...

Serena Williams has got to feel that Maya Joint is cooling off just a touch, after playing at an incredible level.

That last game was very important for Maya Joint to get on the board, especially after not being able to convert that match point.

She was down 15-40 but she kept her head about her.
