Some thought that Gregor Townsend might name something of a second string side for this game, protecting his key players before Scotland's World Cup campaign gets under way against South Africa on 10 September.

Townsend sees it differently, though. He wants his side at full tilt for that clash with the defending world champions, fully prepared and game ready, and while he has rested a few forwards, this is a strong side.

Captain Jamie Ritchie is joined by Rory Darge and Jack Dempsey in what would appear to be Scotland's first choice back row, and only Darcy Graham, who has a mild quad injury, and Blair Kinghorn are missing from Scotland's full-strength back line.
