The changes that we anticipated from Gregor Townsend have arrived, as Scotland's head coach empties his bench.

Finn Russell is one of the players replaced, and is treating himself to a bag of fizzy sweets as he warms down on the bike.

Scotland go bang bang! They've come out a different side in the second half.

Finn Russell unlocks the Georgia defence again, getting his head up and floating a pinpoint pass into the arms of Duhan van der Merwe.

The Edinburgh man is felled just short on this occasion, but Scotland don't panic, recycle, and Rory Darge scores from close range.

    Russell knocks over the conversion.

    Duhan van der Merwe

Scotland finally find a way through!

Finn Russell's preferred passing option is closed down after he received the ball from Sione Tuipulotu, but the fly-half has the composure and ability to drop a delightful kick into the path of Duhan van der Merwe.

The giant winger just about clings on, and dots down in the corner.

Russell adds the extras, and Scotland lead for the first time today.

    It's all happening.

Akaki Tabutadze thinks he's got a free run to the Scotland line after he intercepts an ambitious Finn Russell pass, but Scotland's 10 knew he had a penalty advantage to fall back on.

    We'll have a Scotland lineout 5m out...

    Scotland 0-6 Georgia

Much better from Scotland so far.

Huw Jones looks set to score the first try of the game after an audacious Finn Russell offload breaks Georgia open, but the centre is hauled down with the try-line beckoning.

Scotland don't panic, come again, and win a scrum out on the right-hand side.

I expect to see a marked difference in how Scotland play the second half.

A lot more direct, and ultimately, a lot more accurate.

It will be interesting to see if Gregor Townsend takes any of his key players off at the interval with the South Africa game in mind.

You'd have thought that would have been the plan, but being 6-0 down at the break complicates things somewhat.

There's a lot of space out there, but with that, you can lose your structure a bit.

    Scotland 0-6 Georgia

That's that for the first period at Murrayfield, where nothing has gone right for Scotland.

Georgia have been stubborn in defence, and have taken the points on offer in attack.

Gregor Townsend will be preparing a rocket for his players.

    Scotland 0-6 Georgia

Scotland's attack just isn't working out there - twice in quick succession the ball doesn't go to hand, and Georgia can hack clear.

Meanwhile, Shalva Mamukashvili is hobbling off on his 100th cap, and will hope that's not too serious on the eve of the World Cup.

    Ahh...

Kyle Steyn lost control of the ball before he could ground it, and he shakes his head ruefully.

    Georgia survive, and have a goal-line drop-out.

Kyle Steyn thinks he's scored in the corner, but Mathieu Raynal wants a second look.

It's their first visit to the opposition 22 that I can remember - can they make it count?

  20. 'Absolutely awful'published at 27 mins

    Scotland 0-6 Georgia

    Tom English
BBC Scotland's chief sports writer at Murrayfield

Scotland are playing like a team that doesn't want to be out there, that's just trying to survive its way through the game without any injuries.

No urgency, no coherence and precious little possession. It's been awful so far. Absolutely awful.
