Scotland are stressing themselves.

There's a clear plan to play quickly, but they need a bit more composure, and need to be a bit more pragmatic.

No mistake from Georgia's fly-half, and the lead is now six.

Gregor Townsend wanted an 80-minute performance, but his side have been far from their best in the opening 20 minutes.

Georgia are hammering on the door.

They make their way to within 5m of the Scotland line, and have a penalty advantage to fall back on when the ball goes to ground.

Luka Matkava will kick at goal again.

Blimey, Ollie Smith had to get his skates on there.

Georgia keep the ball in hand, throw it wide, and make a good break down the left-hand side.

A kick stabbed through looks like it will result in the first try of the contest, but Smith races back to dot down in the nick of time.

Georgia look well drilled and full of confidence here.

It might have something to do with the less-than-glamorous opposition but the atmosphere here at Murrayfield is a bit odd.

Kind of flat for a farewell game before the start of the World Cup. Of course, it might also have something to do with what South Africa did to the All Blacks last night, a record evisceration that everybody here was talking about in the pre-match.

Scotland had a hope of maybe catching the Boks cold in their opening game in Marseille if the Boks were a touch undercooked. They're not.

They're cooked to perfection and they are absolutely terrifying. On that form, or anything like that form, they are unbeatable. Meanwhile, Scotland are losing 3-0 to Georgia. Early days though.

Huw Jones takes contact, and is wrapped up by several Georgian defenders.

Mathieu Raynal awards the visitors a scrum - they've been rock solid in defence so far.

Through it goes, and Georgia lead at Murrayfield.

Another penalty goes Georgia's way at the breakdown, after Grant Gilchrist fails to roll away in time.

It's within range, and Luka Matkava will have a pop at goal.

Back on the park, Scotland make good ground upfield, but flanker Luka Ivanishvili gets over the ball and wins Georgia a penalty at the breakdown.

Scotland have a famous fan in the crowd, actor Gerard Butler.

He's no fair-weather fan either. Butler popped in to watch Scotland train earlier this week, Gregor Townsend revealed.

“He loved watching us train yesterday, and we loved having him there," Townsend said.

"He came about 20 minutes after the session had started so I’m not sure if the players clocked him, but it was one of our most intense sessions yesterday so whether they were showing off, I don’t know.

“He was there for about two hours afterwards chatting to Finn (Russell) and I at the end, so it is just great that he’s given up his time in genuine support of the team, and it gives us a nice boost.”

The line-out is well defended by Scotland, and they will have a scrum from which they can clear their lines.

Georgia are no pushovers, and they have made good use of the ball when they've had it so far.

Scrum-half Vasil Lobzhanidze's kick is well-placed and Duhan van der Merwe can only push it into touch.

Scotland are throwing it about early on, and look really slick in doing so.

Finn Russell is putting real width on the play, and Duhan van der Merwe blasts his way over the gain-line with his first carry of the afternoon.

Both national anthems have been sung with gusto, Loch Lomond comes on over the public address system, and both sets of players are just about set for kick-off.

Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend on Amazon Prime: "There are a few players not involved - that's partly managing game time and partly giving players opportunities but, in the main, we've picked as strong a team as we could.

"It's really important that we build cohesion, build form as we go into a hugely challenging game at the start of the World Cup.

"If we can get an 80-minute performance, or at least a performance where we're really tested mentally and physically and we step up and deliver, that would be great for us."

Speaking of Twickenham, South Africa were mighty impressive last night, as they swept aside the All Blacks in London, and made a real statement heading into the World Cup.

Earlier this week, Gregor Townsend said that he wasn't reading too much into South Africa's big win over Wales, and was more interested in how they shaped up against New Zealand.

Georgia head coach Levan Maisashvili has made six changes to his side that thumped Romania 56-6 last time out.

Hooker Shalva Mamukashvili, who plays for Black Lion in his homeland, comes in to earn his 100th cap.

The other five changes feature players currently operating in the French top flight - Toulon prop Beka Gigashvili, Bayonne lock Konstantin Mikautadze, Biarritz number eight Tornike Jalaghonia, Brive scrum-half Vasil Lobzhanidze and 21-year-old Lyon wing Davit Niniashvili.

The latter will start at full-back, with Miriani Modebadze moving to centre.

Georgia start their World Cup campaign against Australia, the day before Scotland face South Africa.
