    Blaze 70-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

One of those mistakes almost costs Blaze as Tammy Beaumont chips Bex Tyson towards mid-off - and the ball drops just short of the fielder.

Another tidy over for Hampshire, though, as the spinners do their best to pull this back and drag the run-rate down.

  2. Postpublished at 12 overs

    Blaze 67-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

Georgia Adams gets through her second over quickly, giving away just a single to Sarah Bryce.

Hampshire need a few more of those overs if they're going to squeeze their opponents and force them into mistakes.

  3. Postpublished at 11 overs

    Blaze 66-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

It feels like a boundary per over for Blaze at the moment - and that'll be plenty if they're going to complete a successful chase.

Eight from that Bex Tyson over. But let's not forget, Hampshire's opening pair did share a stand of 84 before things began to go wrong - so plenty of time for the picture to change.

  4. Postpublished at 10 overs

    Blaze 58-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

Spin at both ends now, with Hampshire captain Georgia Adams taking her turn to bowl.

There's a close call for Sarah Bryce as she strikes Adams fractionally over the stretching hands of Naomi Dattani at mid-on - but there's enough in the shot to carry it to the fence again.

  5. Postpublished at 9 overs

    Blaze 53-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

First bowling change of this innings as left-arm spinner Bex Tyson replaces Daisy Gibb.

There's a brief 'heart in mouth' moment when Tammy Beaumont chips one in the air on the leg side, but nowhere near a fielder and Blaze continue to make steady progress as we approach the end of the powerplay.

  6. 'Far too many seven and eight ball overs so far.'published at 15:08 BST 19 September

    Blaze 51-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

There have been 16 extras already in this innings.

There were only 16 in the whole Hampshire innings.

We are only in the eighth over!

Far too many seven and eight ball overs so far.

  7. 50 runs

50 partnership for Beaumont and Sarah Brycepublished at 8 overs

    Blaze 50-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

Hampshire didn't lose a wicket in the powerplay and so far, neither have The Blaze.

Tammy Beaumont picks up two more back-to-back boundaries off this Naomi Dattani over, a chip through mid-on and then a straight drive that takes this pair to the 50 partnership.

  8. Postpublished at 7 overs

    Blaze 41-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

Tammy Beaumont advances into double figures as well now as Daisy Gibb strays outside off stump and she cuts to the boundary.

Otherwise, a fairly tidy over from Gibb, but Hampshire haven't been able to stem the batting side's progress as yet.

    Blaze 36-0

    Isabelle Duncan
    BBC Test Match Special

There is not much pressure being applied at the moment on the Blaze.

They look quite comfortable out there.

  10. Postpublished at 6 overs

    Blaze 36-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

A better over by Naomi Dattani, who finds a better line and concedes three, two of them scampered singles on the leg side.

However, the run rate is exactly six an over - more than the Blaze will need. Wickets on the agenda for Hampshire if they're to apply some pressure to the batters.

Daisy Gibb is wide of the mark and Sarah Bryce takes advantage by slicing over the infield for another four.

Bryce is into double figures now, with 13, while Tammy Beaumont has seven. The Blaze camp will be very content with this start, you'd feel.

    Blaze 26-0

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

An untidy over from Naomi Dattani, shown by the body language too.

Cricketers are not stupid, they know if the total feels a bit light and Hampshire are giving that impression.

  13. Postpublished at 4 overs

    Blaze 26-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

First boundary of the Blaze reply as Sarah Bryce latches onto a Naomi Dattani half-tracker and pummels it to the midwicket fence.

Tammy Beaumont follows suit later in the over, finding the cover boundary and Hampshire really can't afford to let their opponents get away to this kind of start in the powerplay.

  14. Postpublished at 3 overs

    Blaze 12-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

Daisy Gibb is getting the ball to swing in to Tammy Beaumont and chances an appeal for a catch down leg side, with Rhianna Southby standing up.

Their combined pleas don't impress the umpire, however - and the bowler also gives away a couple of wides, which all boost the run-rate and help The Blaze to ease into their stride.

They have 12 on the board so far, which is 10 more than Hampshire had managed after their first three overs.

  15. Postpublished at 2 overs

    Blaze 7-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

Left-armer Naomi Dattani is sharing the new ball with Gibb and concedes an early wide, along with four singles off the bat.

Both Blaze openers just feeling their way into this innings and Blast Finals Day showed exactly what this pair are capable of - they guided their side to victory by 10 wickets against Durham in the shorter format.

  16. Postpublished at 1 over

    Blaze 2-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

Decent start by Daisy Gibb, who whips one back at Tammy Beaumont and through her defence but past off stump.

A couple of yorkers in there as well, but both Beaumont and Sarah Bryce are under way with a single apiece.

  17. Blaze begin chasepublished at 14:30 BST 19 September

    Blaze 0-0 (target 252) v Hampshire

Here we go, then - Blaze openers Tammy Beaumont and Sarah Bryce are out in the middle and Daisy Gibb has ball in hand for Hampshire.

  18. 'Hampshire might be a little light'published at 14:09 BST 19 September

    Hampshire 251-9 v The Blaze

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

"It’s not quite free and easy, you’ve got to work for your wickets – but Charley Phillips has come back on and improved her figures quite considerably over the last few overs.

"Along with Lucy Higham, she’s done the damage. Hampshire were desperate to get top-side of 250 in those last few overs and they did that, just about, but I feel they might be a little light."

HAMPSHIRE SET BLAZE 252 RUNS TO WINpublished at 50 overs

    Hampshire v BlazeImage source, Shutterstock

A front foot no ball from Charley Phillips undoes some of her great work.

The free hit is fairly irrelevant when every ball of the last over is effectively that, but she slogs to leg, only great fielding stopping a certain four.

They try an unlikely two off the last and are run out by miles.

Phillips finishes with 3-38 off her 10 overs, great effort.

  20. Postpublished at 49 overs

    Hampshire 242-8 v Blaze

Daisy Gibb gets away with one, edging Kirstie Gordon for two, then another as she pitching wedges into space for a consecutive two.

Third two of the over last ball down to fine leg too.

But all these small contributions are better than dots or wickets for Hampshire, scrambling to 250 if they can.
