  1. 'Tables are turning in Hampshire's favour'published at 17:13 BST 19 September

    Blaze 208-5 (target 252) v Hampshire

    Isabelle Duncan
    BBC Test Match Special

A really good catch from Southby and that required rate is edging upwards.

You feel the tables are turning in Hampshire’s favour a bit, with those two big guns back in the hutch.

There’ll be an eye on the scoreboard as far as the Blaze are concerned, looking at it with a little bit of anxiety. They're looking a bit twitchy.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 44 overs

    Orla Prendergast c Southby b Tulloch 6 (Blaze 208-5 (target 252) v Hampshire)

Poppy Tulloch joins the wicket-taking party now.

Orla Prendergast struggled to get going, the Irish international getting a tickle behind, that is a top low catch, stood up to the seamer, much harder than the stumping Rhianna Southby missed earlier.

    Hampshire feel favourites now.

Blaze struggling to find boundaries, particularly with two new batters at the crease again.

  3. Postpublished at 43 overs

    Blaze 204-4 (target 252) v Hampshire

Good running sees a couple of singles and a leg bye to finish the over.

Corrh this is getting much closer than many felt it would, even with Hampshire missing those chances.

48 needed off the last seven!

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 42.2 overs

    Georgia Elwiss c Adams b Tyson 64 (Blaze 201-4 (target 252) v Hampshire)

Georgia Adams opts to hold her final over back.

Bex Tyson bowls her penultimate instead.

Orla Prendergast using her feet nicely for one down the ground first ball.

Georgia Elwiss follows suit and chips it to that captain Adams second ball. Her footwork made that catch look comfortable, easier than two her England international team-mates dropped earlier you would have to say.

Big celebrations, Elwiss had batted beautifully and held the key it seemed.

  5. 'Adams racking her brains'published at 17:03 BST 19 September

    Blaze 200-3 (target 252) v Hampshire

    Isabelle Duncan
    BBC Test Match Special

"Georgia Adams is racking her brains – how do I juggle my bowlers, how do we win this match?"

  6. Postpublished at 42 overs

    Blaze 200-3 (target 252) v Hampshire

Poppy Tulloch's seventh over goes for just three singles.

Brilliant fielding saving a couple in there too as Hampshire suddenly look a bit more up and about, every ball an event now.

  7. Postpublished at 41 overs

    Blaze 197-3 (target 252) v Hampshire

Hampshire could have been home and hosed now had they taken those chances, but as it is they are still well in the fight, the Blaze have their Irish international at the crease at five now.

Georgia Adams completes her penultimate, again not going for a boundary, four singles off it.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 40 overs

Tammy Beaumont lbw b Wellington 74 (Blaze 194-3 v Hampshire)

A top final over from AJ Wellington to finish her spell, remember she has not been selected for Australia for years now, despite dominating County Cricket for Somerset and now Hampshire.

Three dots turning it away from Tammy Beaumont, then she has to go lbw fourth ball, the leggie landing it on her left foot's big toe with flight and dip.

40 wickets for the legspinner who idolised Shane Warne growing up, on the ground he used to captain on.

  9. Postpublished at 39 overs

    Blaze 193-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

Poppy Tulloch is pulled for four first ball of her sixth over then similarly so third ball too, the latter a shorter, worse ball than the first which was not that bad a ball, more a good shot.

As Tammy Beaumont struggles, Georgia Elwiss has taken over the past few overs accelerating nicely with a quadruple of recent boundaries.

Beaumont happy to take any ego out of it and tick the strike back over to her partner.

  10. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 38 overs

    Blaze 183-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

    Another drop!

Probably the hardest of the three plus the stumping in the 13 overs since drinks mind.

Daisy Gibbs flying through the air one-handed but it does not stick at short midwicket.

Big appeal later in the over not given, Rhianna Southby potentially annoying the umpires with an overly extended appeal there.

  11. 50 runs

50 for Elwisspublished at 37 overs

    Blaze 182-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

Bex Tyson continues with her left-arm spin.

A short wide one outside off is well punched off the back foot by Georgia Elwiss for four through extra cover.

Next ball Tyson overcorrects her line and Elwiss pulls for four, only just past the deep square leg fielder who maybe could have done better.

Elwiss haunting her old side yet again (she was a Southern Viper), 60 balls with only four boundaries, two coming in the latest over, shows her great rotation skills.

  12. 'You get the feeling it's Blaze's day'published at 16:44 BST 19 September

    Blaze 181-2 - target 252 v Hampshire

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Quite often balls fall short of the fielders, just out of their grasp – that’s why you get the feeling it’s the Blaze’s day.

But the key is that Beaumont is still there.

  13. Postpublished at 36 overs

    Blaze 171-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

AJ Wellington is hit for four by Georgia Elwiss who brings out the broom again to play the spin.

Tammy Beaumont is nearly dropped again as she giggles, it did drop short of backward point, but not far short, Wello spinning it onto her outside edge.

  14. Missed stumpingpublished at 35 overs

    Blaze 164-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

Georgia Adams leaves two overs up her sleeve, only going for 34 so far wicketless.

Bex Tyson bowls her seventh having gone for 24 earlier.

All Blaze's bowlers bar Naomi Dattani have economy rates between four and five so far.

A third chance slips out of Hampshire's grasp in the last 10 overs now as Rhianna Southby misses a stumping off the penultimate ball.

Hampshire bowling well without reward, if they had fielded as they would expect to, they could be right in this game with Blaze in trouble.

Tammy Beaumont may be seen buying lottery tickets this evening!

  15. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 34 overs

    Blaze 159-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

AJ Wellington, as with most leggies, is looking more threatening to take wickets than the offie, but risks conceding more runs.

Maia Bouchier the latest with a dropped catch, but this is a much harder one than that dropped by her fellow England teammate Freya Kemp.

Not ideal when your two England stars set the standard with two drops though, Bouchier has a good pair of hands, but did not quite get the footwork right and it slips out of the right mit jumping up to her right at mid on.

  16. Postpublished at 33 overs

    Blaze 156-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

Georgia Adams gives herself an eighth and only goes for three.

This worn pitch of course taking more spin the more the surface is used.

Blaze opted to bat first on winning the toss, maybe based upon risk of rain this afternoon rather than the thought of second innings increased spin.

  17. Postpublished at 32 overs

    Blaze 153-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

AJ Wellington back into the attack, setting her field exactly how she wants it as she does - a captain's dream, especially when said captain has enough to think about bowling at the other end and processing that drop.

Hampshire seeing this as a key passage to bring their best bowler back on.

'Wello' is reverse-swept for two by Georgia Elwiss, then rags one past her outside edge, some response.

Tammy Beaumont then sees one rag from outside leg stump and into wicketkeeper Rhianna Southby's grill - cue delay for concussion check.

Beaumont sweeps the final ball well for four.

  18. Elwiss 'perfect foil' for Beaumontpublished at 16:26 BST 19 September

    Blaze 146-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

It’s never easy in the deep, throwing yourself forward and just trying to scoop it up.

There’s been one or two Beaumont has hit into the air and they’ve landed just short of fielders – she would say it’s placement or timing!

Elwiss has been the perfect foil for Beaumont.

  19. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 31 overs

    Blaze 146-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

Oh no, not good from Freya Kemp.

Just does not pick it up early enough or run in and attack it.

Disappointing for Hampshire particularly from your young athletic international allrounder.

Tammy Beaumont gets a big life there on 60 whilst Kemp examines her finger nail.

Georgia Adams meanwhile swallows her anger having done brilliantly to keep bowling well building pressure for a long spell leading up to that key moment.

  20. Postpublished at 30 overs

    Blaze 142-2 (target 252) v Hampshire

It was this period in the first innings where ball started to dominate bat and a decent total slipped away from Hampshire.

Well maybe they can do similarly and make their below-par total seem further away from the Blaze than Beaumont and co have made it look so far in the second dig.

Hampshire were 152-2 at this stage, before their spectacular collapse.

110 needed off a 4.21 T20 start with eight wickets to play with, would be one way of looking at it now!
