It’s silver too for Team Northern Ireland boxer Kaci Rock in her first Commonwealth Games.

Her dad Jim Rock is the only boxer to have held the Irish title at four different weight divisions: light-middleweight, middleweight, super-middleweight and light-heavyweight.

He never went to the Commonwealth Games though so Kaci joked she will have to laud the silver over him now!

It goes down to a photo finish. England's Harry Ledingham-Horn is still fighting in the men's sprint after pipping Trinidad and Tobago's Njisane Phillip on the line.

Ledingham-Horn was behind all the way but came through on the outside at the last to take the second race by the slightest of margins.

We've got about 20 minutes until the third races of these quarter-finals.

Before that it's the men's 10km scratch race qualifying round.

Time for the women's 400m final.

Scotland's Nicole Yeargin, Charlotte Henrich of Wales and England's Yemi Mary John go in this one...

It's best of three in the sprint quarter-finals in the velodrome and it's been a frustrating start for England's Harry Ledingham-Horn.

He thought he had won the first race to go 1-0 and move within one victory of the semis but the result has been overturned and he was relegated due to an infraction - an irregular move into the wheel of Trinidad and Tobago's Njisane Phillip.

Ledingham-Horn will need to win races two and three to progress.

Michaela Walsh has just collected her third Commonwealth Games silver medal and her fourth medal from her fourth successive Games.

It’s the first time a Team Northern Ireland boxer has won four medals at the Games.

An incredible feat from the relentless 33-year-old.

The Welsh support continuing here at the judo as Holly Devall follows Ben Moore in securing her place in the quarter-finals.

A delighted Devall, who hails from Pontyclun, is also through to the next round after beating her opponent by an ippon.

Yet another final is under way at Scotstoun, with England's Lawrence Okoye in the battle for the medals in the men's discus.

Australia's Matthew Denny is the gold medal favourite. We'll keep you up-to-date with this one as it progresses.

A home nations clash begins as Kaci Rock of Northern Ireland takes on England's Sacha Hickey in the women's 65kg final.

Team Wales' Ben Moore is through to the quarter-finals, beating his Sri Lankan opponent by an ippon.

Plenty of Welsh support for the 21-year-old judoka from Llanharan here at the SEC in Glasgow.

His next bout is scheduled for around midday.

So far, so good for the home nations in the last 16 of the men's -73kg judo.

England's Benjamin Levy, Joshua Green of Northern Ireland, Wales' Ben Moore and Scotland's Oliver Short have all won through.

So, too, has Ethan Nairne, another Englishman, after he beat Scotland's Daniel Pacitti.

It's fair to say that round of 16 did not go to plan for the home nations!

Of the six riders who made it through qualifying, only England's Harry Ledingham-Horn - bronze medallist in the men's keirin - progresses to the quarter-finals.

He beat Wales' Ioan Hepburn but his fellow Englishman Joseph Truman loses to Mohd Azizulhasni Awang of Malaysia.

Scotland's Peter Mitchell lost out to Trinidad and Tobago's Njisane Phillip.

A great effort by Northern Ireland's Michaela Walsh but she comes up short on points against the women's 57kg world number one Jaismine Lamboria.

All five judges award India's Jaismine victory.

It is silver for 33-year-old Walsh, who won gold in the featherweight final in 2022.

Meanwhile, Jaismine takes gold - improving on her bronze medal at the last Commonwealth Games.

Welsh duo Connor Williams and Orlando Holley-Sotomi will both fight for gold in Glasgow after winning their respective semi-finals.

Heavyweight Williams beat Northern Ireland's Garyn McAllister by unanimous decision in the 90kg competition.

Light-middleweight Holley-Sotomi beat Mauritian Merven Clair in the men's 70kg, also by unanimous decision.

Well, that wasn't in the script.

England's Hamish Turnbull would've had his sights on challenging for a medal in the men's sprint but he's just gone out in the last 16.

Having qualified fourth fastest, he is somewhat surprisingly beaten by Canada's Tyler Rourke.

Scotland's Lyall Craig is also out - he lost to Australia's Tatye Ryan - and Wales' Steffan Lloyd was beaten by Nicholas Paul of Trinidad and Tobago.
